The Memorial

Lulu set down at Wakka’s computer. She sighed in and smiled. The two people she was supposed to tell about the memorial was on. She quickly told them what had happened and waited for there response.

AlmostGoth00- So do you guys think you can come?

BlondeCowboy- Of course Lulu. I knew a lot of those people and Shawna-----I still can’t believe it.

Gunblade020- I’ll be there too.

AlmostGoth00- thanks Irvine, Seifer. I’ve got to sign off now, it’s time to eat. See ya there.

BlondeCowboy- Okay bye, Lulu.

Gunblade020- See ya, Lulu

AlmostGoth00 has sighed off.

BlondCowboy- I’ve got to go too, buy Seif.

Gunblade020- :) Bye Irvine.

BlondeCowboy has sighed off.

Gunblade020 has sighed off.

Lulu jumped up and ran into the kitchen, and sure enough the food was ready. Mrs. Thomas was a very good cook.

“Yum, that smells really good.” Lulu set down and dug into the plate Mai set in front of her.

Auron raise his eyebrow, there’s something on Tidus’s mind. Tidus was still looking distant and sad, but every once in a while he smiled, for no reason. He’s thinking about something, or someone.

“Hey, uncle Auron, can I get online?” Auron nodded and went back to his thoughts.

“Thanks,” Tidus ran to Auron and Rin’s room and set down on the computer.

Hopefully Zidane and Cloud will be on.

Tidus quicky sighed on and smiled. Ha there they are.

BabyBlue- Hey guys have you heard:(

BlondeDude- No, what’s up Tidus?

WheresMyTail- I haven’t heard anything.

BabyBlue- Sigh There was a big robbing at the bank...

BlondeDude- No! That’s horrible.

WheresMyTail- WHAT! Something like that in our town.

BabyBlue- Yeah, and that’s not the worst part. +Frown+ A lot of people were killed.

BlondeDude- OH no, that’s...I can’t believe it.

WheresMyTail- Goodness! Are you for real?

BabyBlue- Uh huh, Zidane, I wouldn’t make something like that up. Um...+looks down+ we know one of the people that was killed...

WheresMyTail- Sorry Ti, I know that. I’m just shocked...wait you said we know someone who was killed?

BlondeDude- I’m afraid to ask. Who?

BabyBlue- Selphie’s Sister...Shawna. There’s a memorial tomorrow at 10am for all the people, Selphie wants to know if you’ll come.

WheresMyTail- Whaaa, but...how could that of happened. Of course I’ll be there.

BlondeDude- Oh My Gosh...Shawna. That’s not fair, she was only four years old. I’ll be there too.

BabyBlue- Thank guys. I need to go, Rin’s breathing down my neck. He needs the computer. Bye!

BlondeDude- Bye Ti.

WheresMyTail- See ya. Cloud I have to go too, see ya.

BlondeDude- Bye Zidane.

Tidus swirled around in his chair, “Rin, I’m done, you can go visit Poison Ink now.” Rin smiled. (1)

“Thanks,” Rin said taking his place at the computer, going to his favorite fan fiction site.

“Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaad,” Rikku screamed out, running into her kitchen. Cid looked up from his paper.

“What now, Rikku?” Cid already had an idea about what was wrong. They’re fighting again.

“Brother’s hogging the computer.” Rikku pouted her lip. “I really need it.”

Cid rolled his eyes. “Well...” he stood up real fast, seeming to remember something, “hey, that scoundrel is grounded.”

Rikku faked innocents, “really.”

“BROTHER, GET YOUR BLOND BUT OFF THAT COMPUTER.”

Rikku winced, “ouch.”

“Dad,” Rikku could hear Brother whin.

“I MEAN IT! YOU’RE STILL GROUNDED!”

Brother came storming into the kitchen. He was seething, “RIKKU! I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY!”

Rikku looked up at Brother. “No, not really.” She looked away, tears in her eyes. Brother took a step back. He didn’t expect this. He thought for sure she would gloat or do something Rikkuish.

“Hey, Rikk, what’s wrong,” Brother went to her side.

“Um, read the paper, then you’ll know. Oh and I was there.” Rikku said as she got up and left the kitchen. Brother looked after her, an confused look on his face. She was there, huh, what’s she talking about.

Brother shook his shoulders and picked up the paper.

HyperBlonde- Gippal, Baralai, so can you come.

OneEyedBlonde- Of course. Man I can’t believe it.

SilverLocks- I’ll be there for sure.

HyperBlonde- Thanks. See ya there.

OneEyedBlonde- Bye.

SilverLocks- Goodbye.

HyperBlonde signed off.

OneEyedBlonde signed off.

SilverLocks signed off.

Quistis tapped her fingers on the counter as the phone rang. Come on answer.

“Ello.”

“Just a second, I’m gonna three way.” Quistis dialed another number, and in a few seconds someone else answered.

“Hey guys it’s Quistis, I have to tell you something.”

“What’s up Qu,” Zell asked?

“Hmm,” Squall mumbled?

Quistis took a deep breath and told them everything. And for once Zell was speechless.

“Hey, say something guys. Will you come?”

“O..of course! Oh gawd, poor Selphie,” Zell moaned.

Quistis heard a sniffle, but didn’t say anything because she’d know Squall would never admit he was crying. “I’ll be there.” Squall said his voice sounding heavy with sadness.

“Okay, I’ve got to go, I’ll see you there.” Quistis said bye then hung up.

Luzzu had just gotten off the phone with Aeris and Yuffie. Both girls were shocked and said they’d be there.

Luzzu sadly set down. Tomorrow is going to be such a sad day.

Selphie’s eyes bugged out, she couldn’t believe how many people had shown up. She faintly smiled, seeing all of her friends were in the auditorium.

Everyone in Dark Ridge had shown up, it seemed. The high school was really big, but even so, a lot of people had to stand. Even people who didn’t know any of the dead had came. Families like the Thomas family and other families new to the neighborhood.

The principle stood up and walked to the microphone. He tapped the phone to get everyone’s attention. “I want to thank you all for coming.” His loud voice boomed across the room.

Everyone hushed and looked at the large man. He looked fearsome, but once you got to know him you could see that he really was a good person.

The Mayer walked out and stood next to the principle, “thank you Mr. Wallace.”

Barret Wallace smiled, “sure Mrs. Steiner.” Beatrix smiled and took the microphone from Barret.

The Mayer was a middle aged women, she smiled sadly at everyone, “thank you all for coming. Where here to honor those that have recently left this world.” She looked down, “please let us have a moment of quiet.”

After a few moments the lady smiled, “okay, now’s the time to come and use the microphone.”

A young girl of about eight got up from the front seats and walked to the stage.

Beatrix handed her the Microphone and a big screen behind her came on showing what must of been the last picture of the girls mother.

“That’s my mom,” the girl said. “She was very nice.” The girl sniffled. “I loved my mommy.” She started to cry and ran off the stage into her father’s arms.

Next an older teenage boy walked onto the stage. He pointed to a picture of smiling teen that looked just like him. “That was my twin sister.” He looked down, “I feel like I’ve lost part of me. I just want to say ‘Sis, where ever you are, please continue to watch over me.” He bowed and left the stage.

This went on for awhile, until it was Selphie’s turn. Selphie took a deep breath and walked onto the stage.

A great big picture of Shawna came on the screen. It was of her in a soccer uniform. She was muddy from head to toe and she had the biggest smile on her face.

“H..hi,” Selphie blinked, “that’s Shawna, my sister. She was only four,” Selphie couldn’t help it and started to cry. “She had her whole life in front of her. But it was taken away because some bad people wanted some money.”

Selphie gave the audience a deadly stare, “I know the murderers got away, and I’m very angry. I want to yell at them, and ask them why. Was what they did worth it? If for some reason you’re sick enough to be here tonight, I want to ask you, how do you feel now? Hmmm, how do you feel?”

Selphie was crying very hard by now. “I’m very sorry for all the lost we’ve had to endure, and I hope in time we learn to heal.” Selphie smiled, “I for one am very lucky I have friends and family there for me. I hope everyone else does as well. Were going to need to stick together in times like these.”

Selphie handed the microphone back to Mayer Beatrix and walked off the stage and into the arms off her friends.

Riku Awayuki stood next to his parents and watched as everyone left the auditorium. “Man this sucks,” he muttered. “How can someone do this?”

“I don’t know, son,” Mr. Awayuki said, leading his son and wife out.

“We just moved in, and something like this happens. This is not a good sign,” Riku muttered following his parents to the car.

Not watching where he was going Riku bumped in to a brown haired boy, knocking the boy to his bum. The boy looked up with startled blue eyes. Riku gulped, helping the younger boy to his feet.

“Sorry,” he muttered, his cheeks flaming.

“That’s okay,” the boy answered, staring at Riku’s long silver hair.

Riku’s blush grew, “um what are you staring at?”

“Oh...sorry,” the boy blushed, “it’s your hair,” he looked down, “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Riku smiled, “oh, um is that a good thing?”

The boy nodded his head, “uh huh...don’t hit me, but it’s very pretty”

Riku’s eyes went wide, did he just call me pretty? No duffus he said your hair was pretty. But still...oh gosh, I’m blushing madly. “Um..t..thanks.”

Riku’s dad honked the horn, making Riku jump, “oh sorry I’ve got to go.” He ran to the car, “I’m Riku, by the way.”

The boy smiled, “I’m Sora,” he called.
