Four persons were robbed of cash and jewellery on Wednesday night during a hold-up by two armed men at Skeldon, Corentyne, Berbice.

According to a police press release, about 8 pm Latchman Ramadar and three members of his family were in a bus at Circle Street, Line Path, Skeldon when the two men stuck them up. The men took away $1,000 Suriname dollars and $1,000 Guyana currency along with jewellery before escaping.

The matter was reported to the Springlands police station and investigations are continuing.
