A Fanatical Doubt

I complained as i staggered through
copulating streets
where they swaggered, th people of
Confidence and Positivity
And i preached to them of Uncertainty
..to see th sentiment returned to me
in th form of empty pavement, appearing
with alarming alacrity.
Alone now and analyzing
a scene i am bound to repeat
it seems that i'd rattled the cage
but not as much as it had rattled me.
