This is Nils' life in a nutshell...

I, Nils Anders Rasmusson was born in Syracuse, New York, on August 11th, 1978. My parents, Par and Jenny live in Winsted, Connecticut, where I lived from the ages of six until 18. In high school, I was interested in writing music and playing guitar. I sang and played in many garage bands and had a blast. I wasn't exactly a social butterfly, more of a dork, but I enjoyed my life. I worked at a supermarket for a couple of years and then at a landscaping company and other places. I played tennis throughout high school and was pretty bad at it, but I like to play. During high school I spent a lot of time with my best friends Bryce Lafferty and Cordell Smith. We camped a lot, talked about girls always and enjoyed the church social scene. After high school, I bought a ticket on a Greyhound and rode to Utah, Orem that is. There I met Katrina Vander Werff through home teaching and school. We conversed and quickly became best friends and fell in love and all that other mushy stuff that happens. Then I received my mission call to Campinas, Brasil (in the state of Sao Paulo). I had a wonderful time and grew and learned much. It was there that my testimony increased and anchored itself deeply in the Gospel. Katrina and I wrote often and when I returned, Katrina came to see me in CT again and everything was even better than before. I moved back to Orem and Katrina and I got married in the Salt Lake City temple on April 22, 2000. We have spent most of our married life in Orem but enjoyed a ten month stint in Colebrook, CT. I'm really excited to become a dad! I work as the manager of Customer Service at Craft Supplies USA and attend full time school, too. I really like to do multimedia fun (editing pictures, videos, music, etc.) I also love to work with wood and build or assemble things. I change my major every couple days but right now I'm headed toward computer multimedia and animation. We shall see. I'm a happy husband and an anxious father to be. Life is grand!
