and they told us there was no future...

Look at all we have today, isn't it great? There's still some trees and birds, some squirrels running around. Well, except for the ones that have been hit by cars, or slow ones who get caught and tortured by kids and demented scientists... Back to the happy things though, we have a gas station on every corner, that makes things very convinient. Our gas prices are the lowest around, we start wars and starve babies to death in the Middle East to keep it that way, but, it gets us around don't it? It's not like we have a decent mass transit system afterall. We also have cities where every single house looks exactly the same, they're called Suburbs. These are safe havens for upper-class white people to go and be safe from the evil, crazy poor people. The government is working with the rich to get rid of the poor once and for all. This new strategy is Prison Growth. See, prison is a huge industry. This is how it works. A cop arrests a poor person (usually a minority) for breaking a law. These laws were made by the rich so the rich enver get arrested for breaking the same laws. In fact, 87% of the prison population in this country are in there because of property or drug crimes. That means that only 13% of the prison population are violent criminals. So, now the poor person sits in jail for a long time. Then, since they cannot afford a good lawyer (more rich people) they get sentenced by a judge to a prison or sometimes even death row. It costs the governement lots of money to put people in prison but they use taxes. Taxes are what the middle class and poor pay to the government because they live here. The rich are government and they can manipulate it so they don't really pay taxes at all. So, the American working classes are essentially paying billions of dollars to lock themselves up. And all this during the lowest crime rate in decades. While these people are in prison, they often do labor, they work for corporations that pay them way under minimum wage and the money goes towards keeping themselves behind bars.

see, the system DOES work!

and they told us there was no future... ha!
