Tammy sat with Laney at their tree that Tammy had sat in by herself for the past three weeks. Only half more of the day to go. JC didn’t look once at Tammy in class. And Tammy preferred it that way. It was hard for her to believe that after all they went through he could just forget it ever happened and take Haylee, her rival. The one he had tried so hard to find out what her wrongdoing was. But if was able to forget it that easily than maybe she should too.
After school Matt picked up Laney and Tammy and drove to the mall. She told him what had happened and who JC was going with to the prom. Tammy’s cell phone rang.
"Hello?" – Tammy
"uh, Tammy?" The voice didn’t belong to Robbie.
"Yea, who is this?" – Tammy
"This is Lance."
"Oh. Hi." – Tammy
"I’m not calling for JC or anything. I was wondering if Laney was going to the prom with anyone?" – Lance
"No, she’s not. She is right here if you’d like to talk to her." – Tammy
"Really? Ok. Thanks." – Lance
"Laney, it’s Lance hehe." – Tammy
"Oh my gosh." – Laney - - - - - - -
"Hello?" – Laney
"Great. So I’ll pick you up at 7:30?" – Lance
"Sure." – Laney
"Ok, I’ll see you later then." – Lance
"Bye. " Laney hung up the phone and handed it to Tammy. "I’m going to the prom with Lance." She announced.
"Cool." – Tammy
"So then, I’ll just my girlfriend and we will be all set." – Matt
"Ok." - Tammy
"I’ll call her and tell her to come to the mall." – Tammy.
So they all met up at the mall. Matt went by himself to rent a tux while the girls went to look for dresses. Tammy’s phone rang.
"Hello?" – Tammy
"Hey Tammy. It is Robbie." – Robbie
"Hey." – Tammy
"So did you get everything settled?" – Robbie
"Yea." – Tammy
"Ok. So when do you think you’re gunna be ready for em to pick you up?" – Robbie
"Uh, whenever you’re ready I guess. I’m at the mall right now getting my dress so—" – Tammy
"Ok, so how about 7:30?" – Robbie
"That’s fine. I’ll see you later then." – Tammy
"Ok, bye." – Robbie
"Bye." – Tammy
Laney Rachael and Tammy all went back to Tammy’s house with their new dresses. Lance would be picking Laney up at Tammy’s house. Matt said that he would be back later.
Tammy sat the staring at the dress that was hanging on the wall.
"You better get moving. You only have an hour and a half." – Rachael
"Rachael do you think I did the right thing?" – Tammy. Rachael look at Tammy then walked over and sat down next to her.
"If you did what you felt you had to then you did the right thing." – Rachael
"But I’m not sure anymore. What if I was wrong and he was telling the truth?" – Tammy
"If you were wrong, then why did he give up? Why is going to the prom with Haylee? Tammy you need to understand that if was willing to give up than maybe you should too. But whether or not you want to is a choice that no one but you can decide." – Rachael
"That was beautiful." – Laney said as she stood in the doorway and pretended to cry.
"Shut up." Tammy snarled as she threw a pillow at her. Rachael was doing Tammy’s hair when the doorbell rang.
"I’ll get it." Laney said as she floated downstairs. She opened the door to find Matt standing there with flowers in his hand. "Rachael is up stairs with Tammy." Laney said leading the way. So They all say around and waited . When Rachael had finished Tammy’s hair, which was pulled up, and blonde curls fell against her cheek, she left with Matt. They agreed to meet up with each other later.
Tammy’s dress hugged her body and fell loose at her ankles. There was a slit on both ends that went up about six inches about her knee. A strap about an inch and a half ran across her upper back along with two other straps that went over her shoulders. The middle and lower back was exposed. The dress was a greenish blue color that sparkled.
It was now 7:20. There was a knock at the door. Both girls went down the stairs. Behind the door was Lance. A limo was parked out side the house. Laney stood in the doorway as the limo door opened and JC stepped out. He held out his hand and Haylee popped out of the car.
"You ready? Lance asked as the door opened wider. "Hey Tammy."
"Hello."- Tammy
"Yea," Laney grabbed her purse and stepped outside. Just then a red Celeic pulled up. It was Robbie. He brushed past JC and Halyee and stepped up to Tammy. JC stared with wide eyes.
"We’re gunna leave now ok?" – Laney
"If you guys want to join us---" – Lance. Robbie looked at Tammy who shook her head.
"Uh, no thanks." – Robbie
"Ok, than. See you guys later." – Lance. They all exchanged their farewells and left.
