The Sword of Blackmoon, Part II: the Journey of Darkness

I stared in complete dis-belief. My mother layed dead.
I ran through the house screaming for father.
"Father, Father, Mum is dead!" I Cried as I ran up the flight of steps and found my father. His left hand held a bottle of scotch and his right held a sword. There was obviously a struggle from indicated broken glass and other signs. I stared heart stricken at my dead father. Then I ran down the stairs and out of the house. I knocked on Marcus's door. He opened the door but had his hand over his heart. He was covered with blood. "Marcus, Marcus, what happened here?" I cried out in shock. Before marcus could reply he fell dead.
I went through the houses, each person I found was dead or very close to dying.
Then crawling out of his house wounded badly was the mayor. "Sir What happened here?" I called as I ran to aid the man. "It...was..them." He stuttered with strained voice.
"The...evil ones.came....trolls...slaughter..."
He said and then he collapsed to the floor.
He died.
I had no idea what else to do and what was going on. But it was obvious it was trolls.
I Carried the blacksword with me and began looking for their trail. I found broken sticks and twigs from the edge of the town and going towards the north. I followed the trail finding human bones along the way. Yep trolls had been here.
I was out for revenge.
I found that there was a small place in the side of the trail. "What the hell?" I stated rather bluntly.
I went past the small area and found the trolls just a half foot away.
I withdrew the black sword and started attacking the trolls. two fell to the sword before I was out numbered. Then the strangest thing happened. Fire hit the trolls in numerous bouts. It was the archmage.
"Sir...thank the heavens you came." I said out of breath.
The archmage nodded and attacked the rest of the trolls. when all was done the mage simply said "come." And began walking away. This was indeed a story I'd be telling my children about. If I ever had any.
