The Sword of Blackmoon: the Quest for the Famed Blade

It was foggy and damp on this mid-afternoon's day as I was trudging through the hilltops and past the meadows where the birds sang their sweet songs of peace and purity.
I was heading to a small outcove where only a few people sit around to listen to storys and life problems within the town's structure.
I was indeed surprised to find a large mass of people already here, tweleve in all and growing.

"I say Marcus, what is the reasoning for all these people?" I asked Marcus Devarchali the town blacksmith.
"Tis by call of the town mayor." He replied to me. "Tis something important we hear Windstar." said Marcus as he gazed at the long placed wooden logs for the fire that would be lit at night.
Around ten more people joined in. And then the mayor of the town appeared walking with his hands holding a map and a compass in one and a large ivory pamplet in the other.
"Hear ye, Hear ye." Called out mayor Winchesal.
"All interested in a partaking of a quest stand up and come forward idmeadiatly!"
Someone from our group, I'm not sure who as my blasted hair fell into my eyes at that moment called out "What kind of quest?"
Mayor Winchesal gave a small sigh and replied,"tis a quest for the black sword!"
People in the group murmured and I distinctly overheard Marcus say "that sword be cursed it be."
Mayor Winchesal placed both hands up for silence and then continued.
"The person to bring back the black sword will recieve a month's supply of magic teachings from the arch-mage Donier Corastafald."
Again more mutters and whispers came from the group. I was rather exceedingly excited. I had always wanted adventure and a travel of my very own and it looked like this might be it.
"Now are there any willing to go upon this quest?" Mayor Winchesal asked.
Mutters broke out with protests and bickering.
I stood up and walked forward.
"I will go on this quest Mayor Winchesal." I stated boldly and bravely.
The mayor looked at me and then began bursting out into laughter along with the group.
"You? You phillup Dregmor? You would go on a dangerous quest what the punyness you have? Hahahahaha." the mayor replied. "I beg your pardon Sir?" I asked confused. "No, that..that was funny Phillup but I mean seriously, you wouldn't want to go now would you?"
Winchesal asked.
"Why should I not want to go sir? I am brave, strong and loyal, please sir give me this chance to show I can do this deed." I pleaded solemnly.
"Very well, Phillup, you may go on this quest. Now, take this map, and this scroll and when you find the sword use the scroll's words to pull it out of the ancient tome it's in!" Winchesal said.
I took the scroll and the map and went home to pack a few supplies.
Later that day around close to evening hours I set out on the trail. Carefully reading the map with what little daylight I had left.
I found it quite pleasant and warm at the time.
Three hours later I was still on the trail and it was very dark. I lit a lantern so I could see the trail in front of me.
Another hour passed of walking and then I looked at the map carefully. There should be a river nearby off to my left I thought.
I turned and moved East and soon heard the river sounds. Once I was at the river, I sat down and began drinking some of the clear, cool, refreshing water. I glanced around and heard a howl off to my right some distance. I shuddered.
"wolves." I thought. "Wolves in the forest, just what I don't need."
Soon some rustling could I hear as I turned to watch the bushes to my most idmeadiate right. There in the darkness was two dark red eyes staring at me. Watching me. I stood up and read the map a few markers to bear where the way would be. I then turned and ran in the direction of south-west. As per the map stated. I could hear the heavy breathing of many creatures behind me and I dared not to look. I Ran through a solemn and lonely graveyard where a few zombies came crawling out of their graves to grab at me. I yelled out in fright and ran as hard and as long as my feet and legs would allow me to do so. I Tripped over a vine and fell face forward a few feet from a statue with a piece of stone and a sword in it. The sword was black. This was it. The famed Black Sword.
I stood up and turned to see how close the wolves were. They were about five miles behind and gaining. I Ran to the sword and pulled out the parchment. "Dos nagoria, thon shenter corgamay, chandestor lokimkeray, Shantanzum Lock throcktoom!"
I pulled the sword right out with ease blinking at how easy it had been. Then I turned to the wolves. They idmeadiatly fled seeing the black sword. I wondered what the curse was so I began reading the stone tablet beside the sword. "Those....w..who pen...no those who pull this sword will have the curse of the darkness upon them."
Curse of the darkness I pondered about that.
Then I head a stone-like creak coming from the statue. Blood green eyes opened and stared at me.
I Jumped up in honest terror as I saw the statue move off it's pedestal to attack me.
I Swung the black sword back and forth right and left to fend the stone golem off. After about 12 hit's the golem finally crumbled into a pile of rubble.
I then headed back to town.
Taking the same trail.
Hours passed and when I got to the town there was something wrong.
The people were not out.
I frowned and went into my house.
"Mother?" I called out.
"Mother are you home?" I went into the den and found my dear sweet mum there, laying on the floor a pool of blood trailed around her shoulders. I stared in horror at the sight.
I placed my hand over my mouth sickened by the smell of death. Death that hung so very Close in the air. So very ridden with hate and anger.
