FAQ
Whats the deal
with helicopters and infa red?
Infa Red is the light generated from heat, a special camera can
pick up heat from a distance and show it on a screen. The infa red
cameras have the ability to pick up even small ammounts of heat inside
of a house. Infa red cameras are mounted on helicopters so they can fly
around looking for grow ops indoors and out.
Since marijuana produces alot of heat the cops fly over fields and
forests searching. If they go over a large patch of unusual heat they
may check it out on the ground, thus you're busted.
They also look for indoor grow ops. They look for the heat from the
lights and plants. They will scan a house looking for a room with an
elevated temperature and lots of patched of intense heat. (1000W lights
produce alot of heat) If there is not much heat in the upper floors of
the house, the cameras could even see into the basement.
In ontario i know they used to use infa red but i was told they stopped
because people were protesting that it was an invasion of privacy. The
cameras could detect people having sex...
You should check to see if they use helicopters in your area, and maybe
even send in your information here for us to post. I would like to make
a list of states and provinces where they do and don't use them.
For outdoor growers, I recommend spreading out your crop. If you space
your crop about 5-6 feet between plants, the cops will never notice
from the air. For indoor growers, you're shit out of luck.
