Little Friends Daycare in Mt. Carmel currently has openings for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years. At our newly remodeled facilities we offer both before and after school programs. Our staff provides quality care in a friendly and warm atmosphere. All employees have many years of experience in the childcare field. A typical day includes learning time, opportunities for socialization, snack break, and of course, playtime. Our after school program also includes craft projects and homework help. Subsidy is available to qualifying parents. Anyone interested in taking a tour of our center and meeting with staff members can call 339-5730 and schedule a visit.

Our main objective is to nurture your child's curiosity and develop a love for learning. Further, it is the mission of Little Friends Daycare to provide quality, affordable care for children. The foundation of the center is based on two premises:

  1. Every child has an inherent right to spend their day in a safe, nurturing, stress free environment.

  2. Every parent has a right to feel their child is being cared for in the best possible manner as they pursue their study/work related activities.

Little Friends Daycare provides a program designed especially for the growth and development of young children. Varied activities are planned to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, academic and physical needs of the child. Quiet and active play, small and large group activities, snack and rest are included.

Play is the most important tool in a child's way of learning. It is the child's way of thinking over experiences. Through play, the child imitates the world as he/she perceives it. They express their ideas to master them and relieve emotional tension. They learn to share their experiences with others and increase their intellectual and academic development through the interchange of ideas. The curriculum will utilize the "child's play" as his/her most valuable resource.
