Yo Z-fans, how's the go-going? I dug up some dirt about the new Yu Yu Hakusho GBA game coming in December, and buddy lemme tell 'ya, it looks sweeeeeet! (Almost as sweet as Budokai 2!! heehee...) Atari says that Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit Detective will ship for the GBA in December. The game is based on the popular Yu Yu Hakusho animated television show that airs on the Cartoon Network, which is produced by FUNimation Productions, the studio behind Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Developed by Sensory Sweep Studios, the game follows the story of 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi, who sacrifices himself to save a child in a traffic accident but is allowed to return to Earth to assume a new life--and now has amazing powers. Players can assume the role of one of six main characters--Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, Botan, and Kayko--and explore 22 levels that re-create some chapters from the show. Here's the cover art: Also, just a reminder: DBZ Taiketsu (GBA) comes out 11/25, Budokai 2 (PS2) on 12/2, as well as the first Budokai (for Gamecube) on the 28th of this month! So you know what that means...keep the lawns mowed and the groceries sacked, 'cause you'll need mucho-moolah for all these anime-games!

For the first time in the network's history, Cartoon Network earned a #5 ranking (among all ad-supported cable channels) in total day delivery of adults aged 18-34. Cartoon Network's superior performance stems largely from strong ratings for its Adult Swim programming block (Sunday-Thursday, 11 p.m. - 2 a.m. EST). -Adult Swim averaged an 0.6 adults 18-34 rating (up 100%) and delivered 404,000 viewers (up 103%) vs. the same period in summer 2002. -Adults 18-24 average delivery (240,000) increased by 138% and ratings (0.9) by 125%. -Men 18-24 average delivery (179,000) increased by 159% and ratings (1.3) by 117%. The network also boasts a #1 standing in prime time with kids 6-11 and #2 in total day delivery in the same age group, according to the latest Nielsen ratings.
