A basic over view is of the time I was mentioning in the e-mail, a darkness is pervading the land, people appear 'normal' but have a shifty type of feel to them. I have this story in my head that can't get out, it is of this person who come from another land, they are 'visiting' but when they arrive things are not as they expected, all they know of the people they are to stay with is what they knew when they were childeren together. What they find is quite frankly scary...
For one story of the people in this time...
What I have....
He is a glider, a man who was by magical means turned into something he was never meant to be.
A spoilt girl, self indulged and pouty, she is stupid and mean and cruel yet she has developed feelings for him.
It has been months since she has seen him, she feels almost... lost. A strange feeling that she has never experienced before, nothing seems right while she is alone. It is not helping that those around her have been behaving strangely, the guards about the house have doubled and Chistophi will not talk to her. She is worried and paces as she cannot sleep.
Walking out onto the balcony she pauses by the large stone incline, shaped as though they are great steps for a giant to walk upon.
There is a storm coming and the air humms with the feeling, wind whipping hair from her braid. Suddenly there is stillness, as though someone stilled the air with a touch and from the shadows behind her she heard a voice.
Gasping she turns, thinking him a spirit, calling his name he tells her that it is best if she not see him. Disbelieving she coaxes him forward and in that moment the wind begins again and his wings are blown to full span.
Her world is in turmoil and she knows that if she accepts him she will never be accepted herself yet to shun him is to die and without even noticing she is swept into his arms... wings.
But there is something they do not know, upon the roof, hidden, is a man....
They spend the night talking, laughing, loving until the dawn is about to approach. Knowing it is not safe for him she tells him to go and come back as soon as he thought it was safe and that she would go with him. They walk again onto the balcony and as they talk the subject gets to thing that are not so pleasant.
She admits what she had been doing in the begining of their relationship, using him to get at people amongst other things and it cuts him deep, having believed that she had been true from the begining, he stepps away and in that moment the spy on the roof shoots, aiming for his neck.
But he has stepped away. Through her chest the arrow flies and with blood on her lips she falls.
The man on the roof freaks and scrambles away, unsure of what to do and in his haste slips and falls to his death and as he does sees something he could not believe.
With the development of his wings the one who once was a man developed other side effects. One of which was the ability to manipulate time but he has no control over it. As she looks at him with death in her eyes time moves so slow as to see each second as though it were eternity but he cannot save her, only slow her.
She falls.
In her eyes is such agony that he looses grip and time comes rushing back as her face is obscured by her hair when the wind comes from behind her, catching his wings and seperating them.
He is found by the ranger (above), who works for/is friends with Sharni. (below)
