Basic Text Manipulation, Images and Hyperlinks and other little bits.

The following table clearly lays out basic codes which you'll need.

Name of Tag	The Code	Examples	Notes
Font Size	<font size="insert number here">Text</font>	Text	Remember, quotation marks must be used. Sizes are -6 to +6.
Font type	<font face="insert name of font">Text</font>	Text	You must use the name of a common font. If you use a random font only you have on your PC it is likely that only you will see it.
Font Colour	<font color="insert colour or hex code">Text</font>	Text	Click here for my page on Hex Codes.
Line Break	<br>Text	An example: Text.	Simply hitting the return key in HTML does not produce a new line. <br> must be used.
Bullet Point List	<UL><li>Text <li>Text</UL>	Text Text	Bullet point your lists.
Numbered List	<OL><li>Text <li>Text</OL>	Text Text	Number your lists.
Horizontal Line	<HR>		Create a horizontal line on the page.
New Paragraph	<p>Text	An example: Text.	Creates a new paragraph.
Align Paragraph	<p align="insert left or right">Text</p>	Text	Aligns your paragraph. Default alignment is left.
Centre	<center>text</center>	text	Centres the text.
Bold Text	<b>Text</b>	Text	Easy
Underline Text	<u>Text</u>	Text	Ditto
Score Through	<s>Text</s>	~~Text~~	Puts a line through the middle of the text
Italic	<i>Text</i>	Text	Back to easy :oP
Hyperlink	<a href="URL or file name">e.g Click Me!</a>	e.g Click Me!	Creates a hyperlink to a page or file.
E-mail Hyperlink	<a href="mailto:insert e-mail address here">e-mail me!</a>	e-mail me!	Creates an e-mail hyperlink. Click it and an e-mail opens in MS Outlook with the address filled in.
Image	<img src="URL or file name">		Inserts an image into the page
Image Hyperlink	<a href="URL or file name"><img src="URL or file name"></a>		Same as a normal hyperlink but instead of having text like 'click me', insert the image tag. All tags in this table can be combined like this.

Other "Attributes" can be added to the Image command.

Name of Attribute	The Code	Examples	Notes
Border	<a href="URL or file name"><img src="URL or file name" border="#"></a>		Useful for image hyperlinks like I've made in the example. Set the number to "0" to get rid of the thick coloured line.
Height and Width	<img src="URL or file name" Height="#" Width="#">		You can resize the image! Measurements are in pixels.
Alt	<img src="URL or file name" alt="e.g Heart">		Hover your mouse over the image and the words in the tag appear! Even if the images fail the words are there, which will aid visitors.
