Environmental And Spatial Technology

EAST is a service-oriented computer class. In it, I have learned a lot about funky cool software like Flash and MicroStation. We do a lot of troubleshooting, since the class isn't too rigidly structured. Troubleshooting is where you just kind of fiddle around to learn. (It's how I figured out how to make this site!) I went to the EAST Western Region Conference. It was from March 3-5, 2003. We took our project (Project Typhus) to Sacramento, CA to be judged. All Hawaii and California EAST schools met there. The conferences offered various "breakout sessions", workshops where experienced computer nerds teach nerd wannabes like me how to navigate advanced programs. I ended up taking Microstation, ArcView and Softimage worshops. All Arkansas (where the EAST initiative was formed) schools have already met in Little Rock, AR this year.
