Lauri
Lauri is the eldest born. I always remind her how much older she is than I am (11 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days). There is an eight day window every year that Lauri and I are the same age. It gave me much pleasure to tell my sis that I was as old as she was when we were young. She was not amused. My mother told me that Lauri used to look out for me when we were small. She wouldn't let anybody bother me. She was quite protective. I guess I still think of her this way after a fashion. She is the sibling matriarch and I think to some degree, we all still pay homage to her. Lauri may offer a protective wing but watch out if you invoke her ire (which I did on a regular basis growing up). She has a sharp tongue and will let you know in no uncertain terms where you went wrong (heheh) Laurisa (her full name), has always been an eye-catching gal, and still looks like she is in her twenties (even though she is way, way, way older than that). She is attending classes at the local college and I'm sure she doesn't look out of place.

.I love to watch Lauri interact with her children. She is a great mom; she has her little'uns involved in a lot of activities and fosters an environment of learning and exploration. What can I say? She is my older sis, I love her and will always look up to her.
