11. TIME ZONES AND CHANGES
When erecting a horoscope it is always necessary to first ascertain the time zone. In addition, it is necessary to determine whether standard, daylight savings, war, or double summer time was used. It is for that reason that the following tables will be useful when calculating correct times and zones.

The times will change from year to year, but as a general rule, the times in the UK are scheduled to change to daylight savings time at 1.00am on the last Sunday in March and then go back to standard time at 2.00am on the last Sunday in October.
