The Offical Wiffle Stick Home Page

Wiffle Stick is a version of Wiffleball with slightly different rules. (1.00)THE FIELD: 1.01 The official WiffleStick field is an area of asphalt located at the Holy Name School parking lot. 1.02 Foul lines extend from home plate toward the left and right field foul poles. Left field is further away from homeplate than right field. However the left field wall has a greater hight which somewhat balences the number homeruns from each side of the plate. 1.03 There are no single, double, or triple lines on the field. Every base hit counts as a single with the following exceptions: A ball hit on the roof of the building on either side is a homerun. A ball hit on the fly that lands on the stairway in center field is a triple. 1.04 There is no backstop on the field therefore there are no called strikes. See batting and pitching for more information. (2.00) EQUIPMENT: 2.01 The Ball - the ball used in wifflestick the official wiffleball which has oval holes only on one side of the ball. Players may do whatever they like to the ball at any time, except for: cutting new holes in the ball, misshaping the ball in mid-windup (or at any time), tearing the ball apart, putting liquids or solids on or in the ball,or coloring the ball so that it is not as easily seen. 2.02 Gloves - Baseball or any other type of gloves are legal to use, however they are frowned upon and are not necessary for play also they have no evidence of aiding the field. 2.03 The Bat - The only officially recognized bat used in wiffle stick is the original "yellow bat". Other bats may not be used unless agreed upon by the league offical(s) and both teams. The bat may not have an extended barrel, either in length or width. The bat maybe taped as much as the owner likes. 2.03 "Corked Bats" - "corked bats" are also allowed to be "corked" by having newspaper, glue, tennis balls etc. inside, however "corked" are also looked down upon and are not necessary for playing and do not necessarily give the batter extra power at the plate. Bats may not be restricted to the use of one person or one team, each player has access to all permitted bats. Finally all bats must be checked before all games in order to be officially authorized for game use by both teams and officials. 3.0 Umpiring:
