onesidezero - Never Ending

onesidezero - is this room getting smaller?

Now that Lester has ruined my section with some shitty punk rock, excuse me, neo-shitty punk rock. Let's see if we can give you something a little better. Something with beautiful melody and emotional lyrics and singing that destroys most anything that's out right now. Yet, it's something most people probably won't recognize because shitty mainstream radio plays britney spears, or the previously mentioned wannabe punk rock that lester posted. The only thing this could possibly sound like is Tool, and that's only because Tool is one of the few bands that used to use meoldy and amazing vocals to express themselves (not so much on their last album, but albums previous). So, yeah, older Tool might be the inspiration for some of their work. No more words, check it out.

A music update? holy shit.
written by Lester @ 11:47 pm
Well tdp doesn't let me actually UPLOAD mp3's, so I'll just comment on a couple bands atm. They don't really follow what we usually post about here, but I've been listening to them and like it, so shut the fuck up ok?

Something Corporate

They don't have alot of exposure yet, but the one song you may know is called If You See Jordan and it's pretty damn good. They aren't a great band, but if your into punk that isn't TOO poppy gay shit, then I'd say take a peak.

Millencolin

Millencolin's new album Home From Home is nothing overly special from their previous albums, just the usual good punk rock that you come to expect from them if your a fan, to those unfamiliar with the band, if you played THPS2, you would have heard their song, No Cigar on it. Anyways, that's all for now.

d - Everyday

d - Volume 3

I believe Lester mentioned this band awhile ago on the main page. A band that goes by the name of d, which is the first initial of the lead singer, and the person who formed the band. They are a trip-hop/electronic type band. I don't really know how to describe them. Sometimes they sound like a Massive Attack, and sometimes they sound like a Prodigy. By mixing it all together, they come out the other side as just 'd'. I've selected one of my favorite tracks from their first full length cd, although most people probably wouldn't agree. I still think you'll like it, check it out.

Primer 55 - New Release

Heavy Metal. Kick ass. Heavy Metal. The song I am bringing to you today is called "This Life", from their new album "New Release". The album, like the song, kicks MAJOR ass. Even if you don't like heavy metal, you may like this song. It's not all that hard. It's just bad ass. Get it! Love it!

In memory of...
written by Lester @ 4:17 am
A friend of mine sent me this song that he released in memory of his friend who died on one of the planes that were hijacked last Tuesday. He wrote the song after the tragedy, but the music and all were produced with his friend 3 weeks prior to the tragedy. I invite you all to enjoy this really good song, though quite different in genre from what we normally post. It has special meaning..this is for you Shin.

From Zero

From Zero

Has anyone been watching the Real World this year? If you haven't, they have a job working for Arista records. They have to promote one of their rock bands. Apparently Arista considers themselves mostly Hip-Hop/R&B and they wanted to get into the Rock/Metal genres.

Enter From Zero. This is one of their bands, and the band that the Real World cast members were picked to promote. I heard one of their songs on the program, and I had to download some of their work. Now I'm in love, as I'm guessing many of you will be as well. They are a form of the new breed of Metal, kind of in the vain of Linkin Park, I would say. Except less rap, and somewhat harder, with only one singer. Okay, so there nothing like Linkin Park. There's a lot of talent here, so check them out. NOW!

House of Wires

Here's a band that Lester was ecstatic over, and made me listen to. After listening, I decided they weren't bad. Not bad at all. So I am going to give you their MP3. The cool thing is, you can download more of their tracks from Mp3.com. That's a pretty cool deal. These guys are different from the last two bands I've featured. It's not planned, thst's just how it worked out. They are a weird kind of psychodelic freakshow type thing. It's cool. Listen.

Chimaira

Chimaira - Pass Out of Existence

Once again, the folks from the Midwest produce another psychotic band. I guess if they aren't breeding serial killers, they are breeding crazy metal bands. This time, the name of the band is Chimaira. Chimaira sounds similar to those other midwest rockers, Slipknot. In fact, there aren't many discerning features. I'm giving you Chimaira because I am in an Angry Pissed off mood, and I need some Angry Pissed off music. And it's good shit. So listen to it.

Gorillaz

Gorillaz - Gorillaz

The Gorillaz is a new project from the frontman of a popular brit band known as Blur. The band is made up completely of animated characters, and is mostly him playing the instruments, along with some popular brit musical guests. Now, as much as I generally dislike brit music, this is actually very good, and quite a joy to listen to. He has a nice mix of Rock/Alternative/Hip Hop and even Dance music. Their current single, Clint Eastwood is just something you can bob your head to and really enjoy, and the video is the bomb. So, I'm gonna stop talking, and give you all the MP3.

Enjoy.
