The business began in 1946 when Chris' grandfather, John Lightbody, an Irish immigrant from Northern Ireland, started it in New Rochelle, NY. John Lightbody's daughter, Nancy,was dating John Fraioli at the time. John Fraioli started to work in the business as an apprentice. Soon advancing to a journeyman he later became a master plumber and was licensed in many communities and took over the business from his father-in-law in 1968. Chris, the youngest child of Nancy and John was off to college but soon yearned to continue in the trade of his father and grandfather. The cycle started again with Chris starting as an apprentice plumber. He quickly advanced in knowledge and skill and received his first of many municipal plumbing licenses. Chris's dad retired in 1992 and Chris took over. His dad was proud when Chris would tell customers that all he knew he learned from his father. His dad is even prouder now that Chris can teach his father a thing or two.
