The BUM 8-Stair-Rail Story

ok, heres the story. i went and did a 6-stair handrail the day before and wanted to do this 8-stair. i went there and ollied it pretty easy. then i jus started jumpin down the stairs and kickin my board at the rail. after a bit i gave up and went back to the skate park. after skating there for a bit, my friend edward came and we went back up to the rail. i settled back into my rutine of jumping down and kickin my board at the rail when a guy (possible bum) came riding by on a bike. u could tell right away he wasnt thinkin perfect at the time and he proceded to drink some more beer. in an atempt to get myself to do the rail (and make some money) i asked if he would give me $5 if i landed it. he said yes. then he said "no, ill give you SEVEN dollars" so i was thinkin "alright!" and proceded to kick my board at the rail. after i made NO progress at all, the guy said he'd give me $10 if i jus got on and slid at all, not even land. i kicked my board at it a while longer and then he said hed give me $20 to do it. by this time i was wonderin if he actually HAD the money so i asked to see it. he showed me his wallet PACKED FULL OF CASH! he had two $100 bills and a ton of other bills ($20, $10, $5, etc). i was stoked at this point, so i jumped and kicked my board at the rail a few more times. then he said hed give me $5 to jus ollie the stair. i did it really easy and he gave me $5. i was thinkin "what a cool guy, and hes true to his word". then he sat down and started fooling with some rollin pappers. i figured, alright the guy is roolin himself a cig. then he lights it up and as im jumpin and kickin i start thinkin "hey, thats WEED!" and indeed it was... so now this guy is stoned and drunk and cheering me on. im thinkin "ok, im gettin above the rail, i know i can do it, and if i leave and come back some other time im out $20!" so i tell myself "fuck it" and i jumped onto the rail and slid down, then jumped off. he said he would give me $15 for that (because he already gave me $5 for the ollie), but i wanted to land it for myself. then he said hed give me another $5 to land it. after a few more atempts i landed it and was PSYCHED!! i went to check out the footage and Edward DIDNT GET IT!! i was seriously gonna kill him.... i needed it on film so i went and did it again. this is where i started gettin hurt. i slammed really hard onto my right heel, bruising it realy bad (i cant walk on it right now) cutting open my right arm, embedding rocks into both of my palms, and rippin up the side of my right leg. eventually i strugled threw and landed it another two times for different views. so i did the rail a tottal of three times (that i landed). the guy gave me my $20 and at the very end i asked him for another $5 cuz i did it THREE TIMES, and he gladly said "yes", handed me another $5 and added "it was money well spent!". over-all i went home crazy-happy with $30 and some GREAT footage that ill share with YOU ALL!!!

the falls

some of the blood, sweat, and pain it took to acomplish this rail. the worst fall i dont have a pic of, i smashed my heel really bad. look at the last three pics, you can see how far i slid on my leg like that when u look where the camara bag is in the background.
