  • Game Recaps
  • LONGWOOD AWAY 4/14/03 - 'Steve nicolosi started the game out a little shakey, walking a few batters, and letting a few quickly answered runs in. At the 2nd inning, Coach Monroe decided that it was time for a pitching change. Joe Manzella was called in from first base to pitch, struck out the side. The next inning was a huge inning for the Bulldogs. It started off with a double by Frankie Ortiz, followed up by a single by Sean Disken, and a double by Scott Wolling all of which came around to score. Longwood eventually came back, and were able to tie the Bulldogs after a small meltdown inning in which Joe walked a few runs in. The game went into extra innings, and was taken into the 9th inning, (Justin Ehrichs came in as a sub at 2nd base for Jon Wilcox and Joe Polese moved over to short), where the Bulldogs didn't get the breaks that they needed from the ump, and Longwood put another run on the board. Overall, it was an exciting game, and a fun game to watch for baseball fans. - RECAP BY SEAN DISKEN
  • MURPHY HOME 4/15/03 - Jon Wilcox took the mound for the Bulldogs as Carr did for Murphy. The first inning went scoreless, with ace pitching from both staffs. Murphy Got NB a little nurveous when the tided the game a seven-seven. But in the bottom of the sixth inning North Babylon had a monster come from behind lead scoring five, with a little help from Derek Genova lead off triple. Jon Wilcox then held up the fort with 45 balls, and a overwhelming 65 strikes and North Babylon was able to put it in the books! - Scott Wolling
