| WAKE UP, NEO.... As these words flashed across the screen, they not only awoke Mr. Reeves, but also an entire world of curious people. In 1999, The Matrix had us all. Movie-goers and filmmakers alike were captivated by its revolutionary effects and dazzling cinematography, and intrigued by its unorthodox plot. Andy and Larry Wachowski (writers, directors) had brought the first episode of their deluxe vision to our eyes and minds. In the spring of 2003, the long-awaited sequel, The Matrix: Reloaded premiered, living up to most every standard the ingenious brothers set with its predecessor. The sequel expanded the limits of the Matrix to the extreme, making it even more believable. The third installment is expected in November, and I will post updates about that ASAP. The truth is that the Matrix movies actually symbolize every last aspect of real life as we know it. We can analyze their storylines in relation to our own lives, making all of our achingly philosophical questions more managable. This site is designed to help anyone with questions about the story or the symbolism. It may take me a while to get EVERYTHING up, so please bear with me.
