Hi Im Paul after owning hothatches, rally cars and hi performance saloons since passing my test 20 years ago a Laguna estate was a bit of a come down in the power and handling stakes, especially since my last car was a tt sierra xr4x4 2.9.once a boy racer always a boy racer. But with a large family an impreza was out of the question, a volvo t5 was too much insurance etc. the laguna 2.0 estate was an ideal base vehicle.especially when ive got to cart my sons dirt bike around and i didnt want a tow bar and trailer.First of all the appearance had to be made sexier, this was done to start with ,with a set of 17" toora plat 8s. instant transformation. But with the 40 rubber this caused the gap between the tyre wheelarch to be big enough to drive a bentley through. remedy a set of pi -35mm springs. I was going to drop the torsion bars to match but when all my tribe is in the car the back arches are well down so I didnt bother. New rear shox were fitted though and front struts will be needed soon due to the extra load .A few cosmetic jobs were done like clear side repeaters, colour coding of the door mirrors and fog lamp covers. This was enough for now as we dont want to draw attention due to the number of smack heads round this area.

Next was something of a gimmick, underbody neons, won on ebay for 32 quid but since one was damaged in transit i got them for nothing. still 3 is better than none and they look nice .purple glow ,cant get a photo though my digital camera hates the night.next came another 2 wins on ebay , a jap style rear box and a jap induction kit for a honda civic,  2 pain in the arse jobs ,the exhaust had a 2.5" inlet and the lag pipe is 1.75". no one did reducers to 2.5 so I had to fabricate my own link pipe, the induction kit had to be modified by the chrome pipe sawn in half and a cold air feed from the n/s fog lamp housing modified. sounds bloody awesome when you boot it though.

At last here are some pictures of some of the mods to date

This is the induction air intake, I know it looks shite at the moment ,it needs trimming and the cover modifying to fit ,but its purely functional and in the development stages at the moment. its part of a radiator or something ,courtesy of Grantspeed and uses all the old air filter tubing to pipe direct into the filter
