Objective:        To achieve a position of duties in the vast field of Microcomputers. With emerging technologies, I will expect to expand with equal strength and impliment these new practices with my learned skills.


Education:        No formal schooling or education. Most ability has been acquired via informal 3rd party training by licenced technicians, as well as personal studies into computer technologies. This is a hobby that I take very seriously.


Skills:  
(hardware)  
     Knowledgeable in many areas of PC hardware:
  • Assembling & disassembling PC's.
  • Proper insertion of motherboards, processors, motherboard add-ons, drive units, power supplies, cooling fans, & option cards.
  • Understanding the function of major PC products.
  • Localizing & troubleshooting various PC errors.
  • Understanding BIOS beep codes and irregular PC sounds.


  •      Experience in the networking of PC's:
  • Familiar with Ethernet & Token Ring topologies.
  • Experience in installation, maintenence, and certification of Cat5 ethernet cabling (pass-through and crosstalk).
  • Physical installation of hubs, routers, and punch-down panels, including stand-alone devices and rack-mount devices.

         I have intimate knowledge and experience with working with these protocols:

  • TCP/IP & UDP (HTTP, FTP, Telnet, DHCP/BOOTP, DNS, etc.)

  • PPP & PPPoE

         I have had the ability to work with many titles of software, including SDKs, development suites, commercial software, and various third-party programs.
