AGE VS MATURITY

-January 29th, 2003-

Yes I am well aware I am a 17-year-old who knows nothing of this world and is just a bag of pubescent hormones who is prone to do irrational things such is Oo fall in love and rants it put of her website. But I despise this stereotype even if it does suit me; we are all not like this. Ah yes I can almost see you idiots nodding sagely and thinking “ah I thought the same thing in the good old days” well listen up, I know people who are younger than my meagre 17 years who are more mature than some 50-year-olds I know. I say 50 but I am sure there are older immature people out there. Hey and this is not restricted to men ladies out there! I know more women who whisper and spread rumours more than 7-year-olds in the playground… And men well you say that teenage boys are walking hormones, hell I know 80-year-old men who are walking hormones, more so then teenage boys and less in control then them as well… Ever heard of Albert Fish? I some circumstances I feel you could learn from the younger generation rather than despises us because “when you were young children had respect for their elders.” Surrre ya… hippies of the 60s unite, destroy parents… Sorry I am stereotyping your generation I’m sure you had nerds and jocks and punks as well in your own way… but you know *scratching head* gee… in this age of Internet and freedom of speech and evilness like the Backstreet Boys is just to much for you old people to hand so you call use immature because you can’t take the time to understand your children. I understand it must be so very hard to ever talk to your children though since both you and your possible spouse work long hard hours and you are grouchy when you arrive home because your company stocks went down… but gee, I’m sorry but that is life… you decided to have children, hopefully it was not an accident or anything but either way it is kinda your fault they are here, so listen to what we youngling have to say every once and awhile… I mean really listen, we are not as bad as you think. Are you afraid you learn from us?
