ZAB'S COMEBACK

Zab Judah was considered one the best pound-for-pound champions out there. If you called him the best of his junior welterweight division you would have a great argument. The only other fighter at the time that was as spectacular as Super Judah was Kostya Tszyu, whom is the reigning champion of the division. The night that these two great fighters met my bet was on Zab. Zab's greater speed and defense seemed to give him the advantage in my mind since both are known to have some dynamite power.

After round one concluded it was almost as if Zab got comfortable. During that round which he dominated, Tszyu went to the canvas. I was in disbelief watching Zab manhandle the champion like that. As the second round went underway it seemed that Zab got a little careless after having the success that he did in his first round. During this round with about 10 seconds left Kostya was able to land a good shot at his chin knocking him down. Zab immediately got up only to do his own impression of the James Brown dance. Zab's legs were completely gone and Referee Jay Nadee stopped the fight without giving Zab a 10 count. The decision was controversial but the knock down was a devastating one to overcome for this fight and for the rest of his career as well.

After Saturday's bout with WBO Champion Chop Chop Corely, it definitely showed positive signs for the man once considered the best in the division. Judah was able to fight extremely well in the first three rounds and even knocked his opponent to the canvas. However, Judah got into a bit of trouble in the middle rounds of the fight causing one to believe that he may have injured his money hand. None the less, Zab got the job done, while looking good and becoming the "New WBO Jr. Welterweight Champion of the World."

After a tremendous victory for the Super Judah, he was able to place his name among the best of the division again. Only this time it is much more exciting because of the greater competition in the division. Can Zab raise his game and dominate once again a division that was his? In my opinion, HELL YEAH!!!
