TRAV: Ok, Amongst any group of bad drinks there will always be a gem amongst the shit. In the case of cheap ciders this gem is Strongbow. Now this begs the question, is it a worthy opponent to the Mac Daddy of the cider world, White Lightning?

First impressions are quite high. The Strongbow brand is quite respected and therefore looks appealing. The colours are familiar and the cider itself is an amber colour..often a good sign. Now for the drinking part...

Strongbow does taste faintly of apples. Due to this fact alone i rate it quite highly. It goes down quite nicely and doesn't give you the typical melting-of-gut feeling like a good, shitty white cider. However, this is not as important as the piss factor. Strongbow isn't a decent drink to get thoroughly cunted on. Yes, it my taste "nice" and yes it may be easy to drink..but it doesn't fuck you up like the Mac Daddy.

Due to it's lack of "oomph" i am only going to give Strongbow a 6/10. Don't get me wrong, it's a quality drink but just doesn't have the full potential to get you fucked. The Mac Daddy still reigns supreme.
