P7. Extinction: The Purification Hunt
Atrocities against the Predator race continue unbridled and must be stopped once and for all.
Dr. Kadinsky's experiments with the captured Predator and the Alien lifecycle have created the impossible, a Predalien Queen.
The tainted bloodline perpetuated by this beast destroys the integrity of the Predator rave and is unbearable to the Council of Ancients.
This crime may only be resolved with a ritualistic purification of the contaminated hive.
The Ancients present your Clan with a sacrificial associate, the Ancient who is keeper of the nuclear device.
Prepare for a fight for the survival of the Predator race. Before your Clan captured the human doctor, Dr. Kadinsky, he managed to start a process that has created the impossible. He has created an Alien Queen based on Predator DNA. This Predalien Queen is an atrocity that will not be tolerated, and the bloodline must again be made pure. The purification ritual must be performed as decreed by Predator law. First, the Clan must exterminate all Aliens. When the Predalien Queen is slaughtered, its skull is to be collected as a symbol of Predator superiority. Then, and only then, may the hive be purified with the Ancients' ultimate sacrifice: a nuclear detonation. Win the Hunt, or disgrace the entire Predator race.
THE PURIFICATION HUNT
Objectives:
* First, kill all Aliens.
* After the PredQueen is killed, seize her skull and put it into the Shrine.
* Detonate the nuke in the dead Queen’s chamber. Clan must survive the Purification Ritual.
Optional Objectives:
* Complete the Hunt without recruiting Hydras or Blazers.
Starting Forces:
* 250 Honor Points
* 1 Shrine
* 2 Disc Masters
* 2 Spear Masters
* 1 Hunter
* 2 Brawlers
* Ancient Nuke Carrier
Target Time: 39 minutes
It may be very tempting to order Blazers, as they would make this mission a whole lot easier, but don’t! Notice your optional objective, so this means you’ll have to find another way to kill all the Aliens of this Hive. That being said, good choices for this battle are Disc Masters and Hunters, Disc Masters because they can attack many enemies at once, and Hunters because they can fire plasma that harms many Aliens. Also, a Vanguard or two is a good idea, as they are extremely effective against Ravagers.
Firstly, head north, as you need some honor points to make your army. Move your Shrine and Ancient there also. Kill all the Marines and get their heads, as you need these points! With that done, kill the Oswocs here too, to keep the Aliens from getting them and also to gain more honor points. This should let you max out of Predators and also get some much needed upgrades. With that done, enter the Hive from the northern entrance.
You can’t be walked through this portion of the game. You must scour the Hive’s winding caves and hunt down every Alien. The Queen is in the central cavern, so try to kill her quickly so she can’t breed any more Aliens. Grab her skull when you get a chance and just totally wipe out the Hive. Chances are they will make more Queens, so it can be quite a task. As said before, Vanguards will make quick work of Ravagers, which would otherwise be devastating to your forces. If you lose troops, kill the comatose bodies to prevent the Alien Hive from creating Predaliens. You should have more than enough honor points from killing and pulling skulls inside the Hive to get all your upgrades and any more troops to replace your lost ones. You may want to leave the Ancient out of this fight to avoid losing him, but he is also a powerful fighter, so you may want him fighting as well! It’s your choice.
You’ll get a message telling you when all the Aliens are dead. Move your Predators outside of the caves, and send the one with the red circle around him, signifying he has the Predalien Queen skull, to your Shrine. Move him near it and he’ll place the Predalien Queen’s skull into the Shrine. Now send JUST your Ancient Nuke Carrier to the location marked on your screen. After standing their a few seconds, the nuke will hit the Hive, and the level will end. Congratulations, you just beat the Predator campaign!
