Episode 1

In the hospital room, where Sam is with her mom, Catherine for the last time.

Sam: Mom.... please don't leave me alone.
Sam crying hard.
Catherine: Alone… I'll never leave you alone.
Talking in desperately.
Sam: Who is going to care for me?
Catherine: Your only cousin, Lina.
Sam: Lina? But she's mean and unkind to me.
Catherine: You must get along with her! I know she will do anything to help you when you're in trouble. She will help you and care for you.
Catherine begins to breath heavy and deeply.
Sam: Mom, please I beg you!
Catherine: I wi...shh I co...ulld.
Sam: I love you, so much!
Catherine raises her arm, she puts her hand's on Sam's cheek.
Catherine: Me to...o.
Sam smoothes her mom's hand on his**Should this be her or his? I am confused cheek
Sam: I'm scared.... to lose you.
Catherine begins to breath more heavy and deeply.
Sam: Mom, please don't go yet!
Catherine: Pro...mis...e me th...at y...you willl ac...cept, Lii...nna...
Catherine begins to suffer with her breathing.
Sam: Mom, mom....???
Her eyes begin to fill with tears and she becomes scared.
Catherine: Pro...mise me yy...ou willl.....
Suddenly, her breathing fades out. Her hands are no longer smooth, her life begins to fall.
Sam: MOM???
Sam holding her mom's hand on his cheek.
Sam: Mom.
Sam later becomes speechless, tears coming out of his eyes.
Sam: Mom....
He puts her hand down on the bed. Later he leans on top of her; reaching out his arms to give his mother one last hug and kisses her on the cheek on the same place she touched him. Sam, later begins to weep hard like he never has before in his life.

In the hospital, waiting for a blood test result. In Dr. Martin's office.
Marc: I'm a bit nervous.
Gabrielle: Nervous? There's nothing to be nervous. Besides, there is nothing wrong with you. Trust me, okay?
Marc: You're probably right. I shouldn't be nervous.
Door opens, Dr. Martin walks in and sits down. His face looks worried and confused Gabrielle: So, Doctor tell me. There is nothing wrong with him, right?
Dr.Martin: I'm sorry, the results tell me you have something.
Marc: What is it?
Dr.Martin: I'm sorry, you're being diagnosed with leukemia.
Gabrielle: Cancer in his blood!
Marc becomes speechless, Gabrielle becomes shocked.
Dr.Martin: I'm sorry, Marc.
Marc begins to tear up, starting with tears coming out of his right eye's.

Outside the church, there is a man inside his green '03 civic car.
Ken: What's taking her so long.
The door of the passenger seat opens, Isabel gets in.
Isabel: Hi, Brother.
Ken: What took you so long? Wait, let me guess... It wasn't even finished yet.
Ken being selfish
Isabel: Well, I'm sorry to keep you waiting.
Ken: Yeah, sure.
Car drives off

Sam: Leave me alone, I don't care if I die here!!!
Sam yelling at his cousin, Lina.
Lina: Fine, die in here if you want.
Lina slams the door on her way out of Sam's room. Outside the room, Lina is crying
Lina: Why, did this have to happen? Why?
Inside Sam's room, all crouch in the bed crying
Sam: Mom, I miss you! I miss you!

At the theater
Gabrielle: Come on, an action-thriller movie.
Marc: You know I don't feel good.
Marc talking like he was sick
Gabrielle : What's wrong, baby. Got a stomach ache from that bacon burger.
Marc : No, I feel like I'm going to ....
Suddenly Marc collapse to the ground
Gabrielle : Marc?!
She kneels down to him
Gabrielle : Marc?... Somebody call an ambulance
Gabrielle shouting with terror in her

Ken : You know I don't like waiting for you at the church.
Isabel : Why don't you like waiting for me?
Ken : Don't feel comfortable, people may see me and think I'm some kind of guy who doesn't believe in Jesus and that I'm a bad brother for you.
Talking mad
Isabel : Really, let me ask you something, do you believe in Jesus?
Ken stops the car and faces her
Isabel : Do you?

Lina on the phone talking to a doctor
Lina : But doctor, the medicine is expensive and I don't have that kind of money to pay for it.
Doctor1 : I recommend you to that you really buy this medicine for Sam. No matter what, he needs that.

Lina : Thanks, doctor.
Lina hangs up the phone.
Lina : This has been going on too long, I can't take it anymore! I can't, I can't...
Lina begins to cry

Sam laying on the bed, holding his mother's portrait
Sam : I miss you.
Sam begins to remember
~Sam : I'm scared.... to lose you.
~ Catherine begins to breath more heavily and deeply
~Sam : Mom, please don't go yet.
~Catherine : Pro...mis...e me th...at y...you willl ac...cept, Lii...nna...
~ Catherine begins to suffer with her breathing
~Sam : Mom, mom....???
~Her eyes began to fill with tears and she becomes scared
~Catherine : Pro...mise me y...you willl.....
~Suddenly, her breathing fades out. Her hands are no longer smooth, her life begins to fall
~Sam : MOM???
Sam stops remembering
Sam : I'm sorry, I can't and never will.
Begins to cry

Ken : Step out, Isabel.
Isabel becomes surprise
Isabel : You're telling me to get out of the car, in the middle of the night.
Ken : Step out.
Isabel : How do you suppose I should get home?
Ken : You have two legs, god gave you to walk with.
Isabel becomes upset and she gets out
Isabel : How dare you! Just because of one question I asked you.
Ken drives off, with the door open

At the Hospital, in the waiting room
Gabrielle : What's taking so long?
Dr.Martin : Gabrielle?
She turns around
Gabrielle : Dr.Martin?. How's Marc? Is he alright?
Dr.Martin, eyes look away from Gabrielle
Dr.Martin : He's okay, you can go home.
Gabrielle : What about Marc?
Dr.Martin : He's going to have to stay, overnight. You just go home, be prepared for tomorrow, school. **What is this about school cause it's confusing
Gabrielle : Okay, I'll go home and rest for tomorrow school.
Dr.Martin : Don't worry, everything is alright.
Gabrielle leaves
Dr.Martin : < Marc is not okay, god what have I done? I lied to Gabrielle, hope she'll forgive me >

Lina enters Sam's room, bringing breakfast for him
Lina : Good morning, Sam.
Sam turns to look at her
Sam : Do you ever knock before coming in?
Lina : I'm sorry. Look I brought you breakfast.
Sam : I don't want to eat.
Lina : Sam, don't start with me.
Sam : Then leave, get out.
Lina : Fine, I'll leave but I'll leave your breakfast here.
Lina puts his breakfast on a small drawer beside his bed
Lina : Bye.
Sam turns his back. Lina left
Sam : I can't bare it anymore, I need you mom.
Outside Sam's room, Lina cries
Lina : Why does he have to be so mean? I haven't done anything bad to him. Why?

In the Kitchen where Isabel is eating
Isabel : < What is wrong with Ken, he's been acting different lately. Especially last night, he doesn't usually do that to me. Well of course, I pressured him about believing but ...>
Ken walks in and tries to give a kiss to Isabel but she refuses it
Ken : What's wrong with you?
Isabel : What's wrong with me? No, you're the one.
Ken : What!, can a brother give his sister a kiss.
Isabel : Yes, but not this time.
Ken : Why not?
Isabel : Don't play with me, Ken.
Ken : Playing with you, what?
Isabel : Don't play innocent with me.
Ken : Innocent, of what.
Isabel : Don't act like you don't know.
Ken : I'm not acting.
Isabel starts to realize that maybe it's true that Ken doesn't know about last night
Isabel : You don't remember about last night?
Ken : No, did something happen last night?
Isabel : < May god, he doesn't remember >
Ken : Did something happen, Isabel?
Isabel : Forget about it.
Isabel dismissed herself from the table
Ken : Isabel?... < Last night, probably I was too busy thinking about something >

Dr.Martin : Good morning, Marc.
Marc : What happen, Dr.Martin?
Dr.Martin : You collapsed last night.
Marc tries to get up
Marc : Ow!, my head hurts.
Dr.Martin : Take it easy, Marc. You and I have something to talk about, seriously.
Marc becomes puzzled

At secondary school
Nancy : Hey, Gabrielle come here.
Gabrielle walks towards Nancy
Gabrielle : Hey, Nancy... wuz-up.
Nancy : Nothing much and you.
Gabrielle : Not good.
Nancy : I heard Marc is in the hospital.
Gabrielle : Yeah, doctor said he will be fine.
Nancy : Fine? He collapsed last night and the doctor said to you he's fine. Girl, that doctor is lying.
Gabrielle becomes suspicious about it

In a school room, where student council is in a meeting
Isabel : Yes, make sure we get a big sign on it and make sure it says Donation not Donate like last year. Also make sure it's a different color for the text, please. Well, meeting is over.
Everybody leaves except Toby, Isabel's best friend
Toby : Isabel.
Isabel : Oh, Toby.
Isabel gives him a hug
Isabel : How are you?
Toby : Fine, but there's something you should know.
Isabel : Okay, say it.
Toby : You know we have a cancer boy.
Isabel : Yes.
Toby : Well, he collapsed last night.
Isabel : WHAT!!
Toby becomes surprise to see Isabel react that way

In the living room, where Lina is laying on the couch dreaming something
~ Lina : I worked so hard to help you and you don't ever thank me.
~ Sam : Why should I. You're nothing but my cousin.
~ Lina : How dare you, Sam.
~ Sam takes out his wallet, takes out money and gives it to Lina
~ Sam : Here this'll help you, for helping me.
~ Lina becomes angry
~ Lina : Your money is worth nothing to me.
~ Sam : Yes, it does. It's a thanks from me.
~ Lina : You jerk.
~ Takes the money and throws it at Sam's face
~ Lina : How about that.
~ Sam : Get out!...Out of my house!.
~ Lina : You can't do that.
~ Sam : Oh, yes I can. My mother left me this house.
~ Lina : You expect me to live on the streets.
~ Sam : Why not.
~ Sam starts laughing loudly
Lina : No, no, NO!!!
Lina wakes up, breathing heavily

Sam : I can never accomplish my mom's last word. I can't, can't...
Begins to remember again
~ Catherine : Pro...mis...e me th...at yyou willl ac...cept, Lii...nna...
~ Catherine begins to suffer with her breathing
~ Sam : Mom, mom....???
~ Her eyes begin to fill with tears and she becomes scared
~ Catherine : Pro...mise me yy...ou willl.....
Sam : Oh mom, why did you die saying to me to promise something that I can't do!

In an alley, behind a house
Ken : How much?
Robert : Wo, you in a rush?
Ken : Come on, give it to me quick.
Robert : You're desperate for more, uh?
Ken : Just give it to me.
Robert : Okay but first give me the money.
Ken takes out his wallet and gives Robert the money
Ken : Here's the money.
Robert : And here's your heroin.

Marc : What is it doctor?
Dr.Martin : I'm sorry I have bad news.
Marc : What's the bad news.
Dr.Martin, looking scared to tell the bad news
Dr.Martin : The bad news is that... you are running out of time, Marc.
Marc : What are you saying, doctor?
Dr.Martin : You're losing strength and you're....
Marc : Dying, am I dying doctor?
Dr.Martin : I'm sorry, Marc.
Marc begins to tear up
Marc : I'm going to die, young.
Dr.Martin : Marc, I know you're going....
Marc : Leave.
Dr.Martin : Are you sure?
Marc : Leave.
Dr.Martin : Do you want to talk about...
Marc : LEAVE!!!
Dr.Martin exits the room, and Marc begins to cry

Gabrielle : Lie? He wouldn't do that.
Nancy : Did he look you in the eyes.
Gabrielle remembering
~ Gabrielle : Dr.Martin?. How's Marc, is he all right?
~ Dr.Martin, eyes looking away from Gabrielle
~ Dr.Martin : He's okay, you can go home.
Gabrielle : My god, he lied to me.
Nancy : What you going to do?
Gabrielle : I got to go to the hospital.
Nancy : But you got class with me, next.
Gabrielle : Tell the teacher I got sick and went home.
Nancy : Okay, tell Marc...
Gabrielle leaves
Nancy : That I said "Hi"

Toby : You okay, Isabel?
Isabel : Yeah, I'm okay.
Toby : Why did you react that way?
Isabel : Don't know.
Toby : Hm-mm.
Toby becoming suspicious
Isabel : Which hospital is he at?
Toby : I heard Mt. Vernon University Hospital.
Isabel : Thanks, I got to go.
Toby : Where?
Isabel : To the hospital.
Toby : But what about class.
Isabel : Tell them I went to see Marc.
Toby : You want me to tell them the truth.
Isabel : To believe it, than lying not to.
Isabel leaves
Toby : < Oh, Isabel... friends, been a long time and I think it's time for me to tell what I feel. >
