Yes, that's right! Having taken a wad of cash from Royal Mail in return for f*cking off with the minimum of fuss I shall be heading off to the many and varied corners of this here globe of ours.

On 8 October I head to Durban South Africa to spend 4 or so weeks attempting to gain a CELTA (TEFL) teaching qualification. I'm then heading down the coast (the Garden Route I'm reliably informed) to Cape Town. Finally flying back to the UK for most of December.

I intend to hang around in Yeovil (arguably the centre of the universe) until mid-January. If you see my parents, please break it to them gently.

On 15 January 2004 I, along with Anglesea's most famous son, perveyer of strange alphabets, and all round top man from Uni days, Rich, head off on our world tour.

The map above gives you the general gist of the thing. Heading west, 5 months in New Zealand and Oz, a few months in South East Asia and a classy finish in Japan. Aiming to be back in the UK for late October 2004.

It beats working for a living.
