Having gone into hospital at around 5pm on Friday Helen and Ian finally tempted the stork into delivering a 6lb 9.5oz Baby Harding at 5.37 on the morning of Saturday the 4th of October. A touch more heavy than a bag of sugar and a mite taller than a size five football. He - for it is a boy - shall henceforth be known as.... Both mother and baby are doing well and returned home on the following Monday. Proud father Ian was ever-present, highly-supportive and at times mildly traumatised throughout the birth. My personal thanks go to Hels for squeezing Harvey out a week early so that I could see him before I headed off to South Africa. Congratulations Ian and Hels.
