Five Weeks Until the Wedding

"Would you ladies like a drink?" Taker asked, sticking his head out the door. They nodded. "Yes please."

"Coming right up." He disappeared back inside. Chyna grinned mischievously. "Who'd have thought that the Dead Man would get domesticated?"

"Oh we knew that if anyone was gonna house train the Undertaker it was gonna be you." Lita grinned back. "When you two started dating, half the locker room went into shock and the other half just shrugged and teased the first half for being surprised."

"Which half were you?" The older woman asked with a snicker, remembering the general reaction. Lita laughed. "Well, it's the only time I've ever known more about what was going than Jeff!"

Chyna laughed as well as Taker came back outside with three cold glasses of water. He handed one to Lita, gave one to Chyna, then leaned against the swing Chyna was sitting on. Lita took a long drink. "This is service! I might leave Hunter and free load off you two if the service is like this each night."

"It’s not." Taker reassured her with a grin. "Usually it's serve yourself. So how is Hunter? Has he made up his mind yet?"

"Well, he used to be indecisive, but now he's not sure." Lita rolled her eyes. "But at least it's a step ahead of 'I am not going to that wedding.' Every time I ask him, he has a different answer, but at least he's thinking about going."

"I do understand that it can't be easy for him. I really do understand that." Chyna paused, trying to figure out the best way to explain it to her friend that wouldn't upset her fiancée. "Hunter and I... whatever feelings there were between us are over. He's my best friend now and that's all there is between us. But we were together for so long, that after a while, when we thought of the future, we were together. We just never thought we'd split up, for any reason at all."

"I can understand that. I'm the same with Shane Helms. He and Jeff are my two best friends, but it would be decidedly weird to see Shane getting married to someone else. I'm not sure I could do it and oh man, now I can completely understand where he's coming from." Lita bit her lip. "Why didn't he try and explain it to me like that?"

"Cause he's a guy." Chyna shook her head. "I doubt he's figured out that what's going on."

"Is that why you guys invited me?" She frowned. Undertaker shook his head this time. "No! We invited you for the weekend because you wanted a few days away and Chyna needs someone to gang up on me with, cause when Kane gets here we'll be ganging up on her."

"Kane's the best man right?" Lita confirmed. "Well if Jackie and I just wearing formal dresses, are the guys gonna be in penguin suits?"

"Only me." Taker replied with a small scowl. The tuxedo was one of the many battles regarding the wedding he'd lost, along with eloping and a surprise wedding. "Kane and the Acolytes will be in suits."

"Bradshaw is really looking forwards to seeing Jackie in a dress." reported Lita with a grin. "And Debra's really excited about being matron of honour. I think it's because she and Steve had such a low key wedding."

"I can't believe Helmsley is considering not coming to a wedding you'll be a bridesmaid at!" exclaimed Chyna in disbelief. Taker sat next to her on the swing and put his feet up on the bench opposite. "He'll be there. Everyone's talking about this wedding. Those who have seen the girls dresses will be on and on about how beautiful they look. It'll be a point of pride for him to go, simply so he can brag later."

"In that case, Lita, I kinda need your help." Chyna bit her lip and looked at her friend a little nervously. "There's gonna be a few things at the wedding that Hunter's not going to be happy seeing. And we think you'll be the only person who'll be able to prevent him from losing it completely."

"Is she asleep?" Shawn looked up from the piece of paper he was reading as Stephanie walked into the room looking rather frazzled and collapsed face first onto the bed. "Yes thank Christ."

"I'll get up to her when she wakes up tonight." He promised. Steph sighed. "You'll have to. I wouldn't be able to move even if she did wake me up. What are you reading?"

"It's an email from Chyna about the wedding. Nothing we didn't already know. I'm just reading the carbon copy list and trying to figure out everyone's email addresses. So far I've worked out - Hunter, Lita, Nash, Hall, Kane, Steve and Debra, Acolytes, Jackie, Billy and Chuck and Jesse. Wanna look at the rest?"

"Billy and Jesse are gonna be there? Oh that's gonna be interesting." Stephanie murmured. "If I try and figure out the other ones, will you give me a massage?"

"Oh you drive a hard bargain darlin." Shawn chuckled, slipping his hands up under her t-shirt. "So who have we got?"

"Those five must be Chyna's workmates. They've all got the same end to their email addresses as Chy does." She studied the piece of paper. "Oh, that feels really nice honey, don't stop. I have a sneaking suspicion that one is Tests - why the hell would she want to invite him?"

"They did become close while she was in the Corporation." He reminded her. "So we've got Chyna's workmates and Test, who else?"

"That's my brother's email address." Stephanie's voice was quiet. "Shane's gonna be there."

"Steph, it's Shane. He'll make a scene, that's a given. But despite all the shit that's happened between you two over the years, once he sees his niece, he's going to flip."

"I'm going to kill her."

"It's Shane." Shawn repeated, looking a little confused. "You have nothing to worry about."

"Yes I do!" Stephanie rolled onto her back and stared at Shawn. "You know who's going to be at the wedding?"

"Who?"

"Chris fucking Jericho."
