At the Reception

(Note: Have never heard of lampchop, this song was reccomended to me as a first dance by a friend. If anyone has the lyrics, please email them to me. If the song is grossly inappropriate, ley me know and I'll give you my friends email address so you can flame him. Also, this is just a short piece before the fun stuff starts, cause there's no way I could just ignore the wedding. If you don't recognize anyone in this part, they're one of Chyna's workmates. There was gonna be a bigger plot involving them, but I couldn't be bothered.)

"Hey Steph…" Shane's voice was teasing. "Jericho's staring at you again."

In reply, Stephanie grabbed Shawn by the front of the shirt and kissed him… hard. Shawn blinked. "Wow."

"Don't think he liked that much." Murmured Jesse, sneaking a look the table Jericho was sitting at with five of Chyna's workmates.

"I don't think he was the only one." Jordana McMahon added, glancing at one of the two other tables of guests. Shawn glanced in the same direction and shivered."I never realised how intimidating that glare is when it's directed at you."

"I don't think he's the only pissed off person." Stephanie looked at the table where the bridal party were sitting. Lita looked prepared to smash the bottle of water in her hand over Hunter's head. "I feel so bad for her."

"I feel worse for Hunter." replied Jesse. "She's not gonna sit by and put up with this."

"She'll kick him to the curb?"

"More than likely." Agreed Shane. "She doesn't put up with any kind of shit from anyone. Especially from Hunter. And especially not now."

"Even so -" Stephanie fell silent as the band started to play 'Is a Woman' by lampchop and Taker lead Chyna onto the dancefloor for their first dance as husband and wife. As the song ended and Jackie and Bradshaw, Debra and Steve, Billy and Chuck and Shane and Jordana joined them on the dancefloor. On Table Two, Scott Hall leaned over to Hunter. "Doesn't she look amazing?"

Hunter nodded. "I've never seen her look so happy."

"And I've never seen you look so miserable." Kevin Nash added. "I thought you were over Stephanie?"

"I am." The younger man ground out. Nash raised an eyebrow. "Then why so angry about her and Shawn?"

"You don't get it Kev."

"No, I don't. This is what I do understand. That you are risking losing your best friend over this. Not to mention the best thing that's happened in your life since... well, ever."

Hunter's head snapped round to look at Kevin. "What do you mean?"

"Lita." The blonde pointed out the obvious. "Look at her. She's miserable. Don't think she's just going to put up with this. Because she won't. "

"I cannot believe that you of all people are giving me relationship advice."

Scott Hall cleared his throat. "Let me give some advice. Get your ass up there and ask Lita to dance. Apologise to her and tell her you were in shock. Tell her what ever it takes to get her to forgive you. Then, apologise to Stephanie and Shawn. Tell them the same thing you tell Lita. Then get on with your life before you fuck it up completely."

Without another word, Scott got up and headed over to the third table, asking Isabel to dance. Hunter sighed and headed for the bathroom. He needed a few minutes to compose himself. When he came out, everyone appeared to be on the dancefloor. The newlyweds were still dancing, as were Debra & Steve and Jordana & Shane. Jackie was now dancing with Farooq, while Bradshaw talked to Lita. Scott was still dancing with Isabel, Kane with Ashley and Kevin with Beth. To Hunter's surprise, Chuck was dancing with Kathlyn, while Billy and Jesse shared a dance and to his greater shock, he saw Shawn sitting at the table, holding Charita and watching Stephanie dance with Chris Jericho.

Suddenly, Stephanie took a step back and announced in a loud voice "Jericho, the only place in this universe, or any other universe where you had a chance with me was in your dreams."

Bradshaw broke into a golf clap as Stephanie sat back down with Shawn. Hunter took advantage of his distraction to sit next to Lita. "Lita, I'm sorry. I've been a complete asshole. I love you and -"

"Don't Hunter." Lita looked down at him coolly. "This isn't the first time. Three strikes baby and you're out. Cause I am not going to be with someone who's still obviously in love with his ex wife. So get her out of your life, or I'll get you out of mine."
