Angelfire is a great place to build pages but, they do have a bug and aren't very good at answering thier email.
For example:
"Enter your URL below and we'll send an email to you with your current password. It will be emailed to the email address you are currently registered with at Angelfire."
That would be great but, I no longer have access to those email accounts!
I tried to change my registered email address and it said:
"You must be logged-in to change your password. From your Web Shell, click Preferences and then Change Password. You will need to enter your NEW password twice, and then you will be returned to the Web Shell.
Q: My e-mail address has changed. How do I update my e-mail address in my account?
You must be logged-in to change your e-mail address. From your Web Shell, click Preferences and then Change e-mail. If you're using our Basic Editor, once it is changed, the next time you edit and save your page the e-mail address on your page will reflect the update. If you have an e-mail address on a page made with the Advanced Editor, you will have to change that yourself."
Can anyone see my problem here?
I'm now on my third angelfire account and still waiting for a reply from them, which I don't expect will come because there is also a link saying:
"Why has Angelfire not returned my Email?"
and clicking on it gets you:
"Why has Angelfire not returned my Email?
We read all the mail. If we have not replied it's because we feel your answer is located IN THIS FAQ, which contains our best explanations. If your topic is discussed in this FAQ but you still don't understand it, post your question to the Feedback Form and refer to the FAQ entry you don't understand. We'll be happy to help you, and hopefully improve that FAQ entry to help others."
Well, I'm going to submit this page to the "FAQ entry" and see what it gets.
I'll let you know when (if) I hear from them.
Peace!
Thank you for your reply, But this time, please READ my email and see the enclosed page located at https://www.angelfire.com/pq/thoth/index.html I have sent you several emails and would really like to get some assistance please! Thanks AGAIN, Bechtor

Add Addresses Please note: Please do not respond to this email. If you need more information, go to https://www.angelfire.com/doc/news.html . Dear Bech: Hi, how ya' doin'? Remember us? We're Angelfire, the free home of YOUR amazing Web site. Yeah, we know that you have never heard from us before, but there are some big changes ahead for Angelfire, and the staff here wants to make sure that you are prepared! We're all really excited, and we want you to be too! In the coming weeks we will be releasing some cool new features on Angelfire. Here are just a few of the things that you can look forward to: * Script library: Make your pages more dynamic with our collection of fun and useful JavaScript and CGI scripts. * New improved FTP: You asked for it, you got it. Upload multiple files right to your member directory with any standard FTP client. * Angelfire Arcade: What's even better than playing our nifty new Shockwave games? Putting them right on your Web pages! * Page of the week: Without our page builders, we're nothing! So we want to give you the kudos you deserve. Each week, we highlight a member page that we think is a shining example of what a homepage can be. To see the page of the week and vote for future winners, visit https://www.angelfire.com/doc/best/ . * Awesome Angelfire pages: This showcase of member pages is built around popular topics like boy bands, pokemon, and wrestling. Check 'em out at https://www.angelfire.com/doc/best/ . * Commission Central: Make money with your pages! Join our new affiliate program and make up to 20% commission on every sale made through your site. Wow, great stuff, huh? I bet you're thinking, "How can Angelfire give us all this great stuff for free? Isn't it expensive to maintain all those Web servers, and pay engineers and designers to make all those neat tools? How can they keep it up?" The sad truth is, we can't. Like most free homepage hosting sites, we make most of our money from advertisers who pay to have their banner ads placed on our site and on pages created by our members. Unlike the majority of our competitors, we've always allowed you to choose whether you have ads on your pages or not. Today, over 35% of you have voluntarily put ads on your pages, and kept us going! Thanks for your support! Unfortunately, your generosity just isn't enough to sustain us. For the rest of you freeloaders, we've got some bad news. Beginning November 1, 1999, Angelfire will be requiring ads on all member pages. You will have the option to either have in-line ads (embedded in your page) or pop-up ads (which appear in a separate window), but you will no longer have the option to have no ads at all. Now, don't get mad. Before you do anything hasty, listen to all the other great things that are coming soon to Angelfire: * Subdirectories: Organize your site with multiple directories under one member name. * Microsoft FrontPage support: Take advantage of all FrontPage's popular features. * Subdomains: Shorter URL's for your site * Building guides: Page building projects with step-by-step tutorials, resources, and more. * Increased disk space: For members with growing pains. We think these services will make your site easier to maintain, more fun for your visitors, and more successful. And all we ask in return is that you let us run ads on your pages. Best of all, Angelfire remains a 100% FREE hosting service for your Web site. To get more information about all our new features visit the "What's New" page at https://www.angelfire.com/doc/news.html . For information about our ad options, and how best to prepare your site for them, visit the AD FAQ at https://www.angelfire.com/doc/aboutads.html . We hate spam as much as you do, so we will keep all member mailings like this one to an absolute minimum. If you do want to receive periodic updates from us, then subscribe to BLATHER, the official Angelfire newsletter. Visit the "What's New" page to find out how. Thanks for your time and continued patronage of Angelfire. Best wishes, Team Angelfire https://www.angelfire.com/
