Words and terms that are unique to Quezon Province, or with a different meaning in Manila and other Tagalog-speaking areas, were entered in this vocabulary. This list centered on words used not only in Quezon in general but in Pagbilao in particular. It is a fact that each town has home-grown terms, like Pagbilao's "borombom", "abi" and "gaman". Words or terms used in towns other than Pagbilao were also listed and identified as such. On the other hand, words derived from other regions like Visayas and Bicol were also indicated. For example, "pasayan" is a Visayan word used in Quezon but NOT commonly known in Manila.

We provided symbols on top of the vowels as pronunciation guide. It is assumed that the readers have learned in Pilipino subject the pahilķs, paiwą and pakupyā accents (accute ´, grave `and circumflex ^ accents) . Otherwise, you are advised to ask an elder or grab a book on the subject and LEARN. This list is still incomplete as we keep on adding more words as we encounter them day after day.

Glenn Maningas originally posted his Quezon Vocabulary in Geocities. It is from his list that I expanded it more than tenfold. I did a little editing of some of the definitions provided by him.

There some commanding words though such as "tingni", "buksi", "bigyi" , "puntahi" that were opted out because almost every Tagalog verb as in "tingnan", "buksan", "bigyan", "puntahan" can be converted into the Pagbilawin way. Thus, if the word was simply a change of the suffix "-an" to "-i", it would be excluded, unless the root word itself is a Pagbilao or Quezon term as in "atuhi" ("atuhan") or "bahugi" ("bahugan"). More often that not, the root word could be already listed like these two examples. Then it would just be a repeating derivation of the same term.
