The Past…

I’m basing a lot of this off of the English version (ick! Sad I know!) so be prepared for information left out… But I hope there isn’t any.

The story goes, that before Usagi and Mamoru fell in love around 1992, 1993, they first lived on the moon. If you’ve seen the series, or read the manga, than you know this. 1,000 years ago, Usagi lived on the moon during the silver millennium. The moon was basically the main place to go, out of all the planets. Usagi was princess of the moon, while her mother, Serenity (uh.. Is this her Japanese name as well ::blushes:: hehehe) Although all the other planets had their own kingdoms, the princesses lived on the moon to protect Usagi and her mother.

Usagi and the prince of the earth, Endymion (this is the name Mamoru has whenever he’s under royal power [I suppose that’s a way of explaining it]), met, and then fell in love. But someone named Queen Barrel, who was working for Queen Metallia in The Dark Kingdom (The negaverse) began to attack the moon kingdom in search of the Silver Crystal. Serenity was the one who held the Silver Crystal, and she was doing everything in her power to protect everyone with it.

One night Usagi and Endymion talk about the battle ahead, and they say their good-byes. Endymion doesn’t know if he’ll return from the battle, so he gives Usagi a locket. Inside the locket is a little tune of the theme song, and picture of a moon going around in little circles. That same night, Barrel made a huge attack on the moon, and sent out her most powerful warriors: Zoicite, Kunzite (Malachite), Jetite, and Nephlite.

She saw Endymion with Usagi, and asked for him to join her. He insulted her in his way of saying no. this really ticked Barrel off, so she started to take Endymion, but Usagi wasn’t going to let her. So she ran after Endymion. They both got sucked into floating into the air, and they started to reach for each other, barrel split them apart, and basically killed them.

Serenity was so distraught. She used the last of her energy with the Silver Crystal, and sent everyone to relive on earth, although they would have no memory of what happened. She told Luna and Artemis to take care of them. Then Serenity died.

It was sort of sad, but she did it to save everyone.
