In case you're interested:
Before installing I used the old GUS DOS disks to set up the card.
I'm using the 1.10 GRVSULTR.VXD and UNTRASND.DRV
I guess that's the old original win95 driver.
I installed it the regular way. My resources:
I/O range: 250
IRQ: 07 ans 12 (I also got it to work at 05 and
12 / 06 and 07)
DMA: 01 and 05
A VERY important thing is: the win98 volume control does NOT work.
However, if you get the SNDVOL32.EXE from an original old win95
CD you will see it works fine!
I don't know if you'll do something with this info and/or put it
on
the page but this setup works fine for me. I've re-installed win98
several times and all those times I got the card to work fine with
the above settings.
Cheers,
Marco
P.S: I agree the Linux drivers are better. There are also people
working
on native win98 drivers though, so the future of the old GUS might
not
be so bad after all ;)
