A group of friends heads for the woods, only to end up on the menu for a cannibalistic mutant known as Three Finger. Only Fonda (Janet Montgomery) manages to survive, and she's soon joined by a truckload of escaped convicts also fleeing the ravenous freak. Throw in a cache of stolen money to distract the escapees and an unsuspecting search party, and it's a virtual smorgasbord for Three Finger.

Like many others I loved the first Wrong Turn and enjoyed the second film as well even if it was below par to the original. So I was looking forward to seeing the third installment but I also knew that since this was a straight to video title that I was not going to see the high production values as the first film. This time around the film opens with two couples who are on a canoe trip, when they make a stop the cannibals strike, the film switches and we see a prison where a group of prisoners are just about to be transported to another prison. So this time around it is a group of convicts that must battle the cannibals. Wrong Turn 3 is no different than any other slasher film in that it really doesn't bring anything new to the table but for what it is I felt it was still pretty entertaining. The acting ranges from good to just about average but for a film like this that is never a problem, the dialogue seemed a bit corny at times, I found myself laughing at some of it and I am not sure sure that was intentional or not. But we don't watch these kinds of movies for their intelligent dialogue now do we? The main reason we watch these is to witness the carnage and if I am to judge the film off of that I would say that it is a pretty solid horror flick. The film has some very clever killings and there is plenty of gore as well a long the way. The film was pretty straight forward in story until the end where it tosses in a little twist and it is also left opened for obvious reasons. Certainly not a film that will be winning any awards but if your a fan of the other two movies or just a horror buff in general then I am think you will find this to be a fun film that doesn't ask much from it's audience.
