This action-packed thriller stars Nicolas Cage as Will Gerard, a happily married family man whose quiet life is turned upside-down when his wife, Laura (January Jones), is brutally attacked one night while leaving work. At the hospital, waiting for news about his wife’s condition, Will is approached by Simon, (Guy Pearce) who proposes an intriguing offer: Simon will arrange to have a complete stranger exact vengeance on Laura’s attacker, in exchange for a favor from Will in the near future. Distraught and grief-stricken, Will consents to the deal, unwittingly pulling himself into a dangerous underground vigilante operation. While continuing to protect his wife from the truth, he quickly discovers that his quest for justice could lead to frightening and deadly consequences.

"Seeking Justice" is about a married couple, Will and Laura who are very happily married. Will works as a school teacher while Laura is a musician. One night when leaving work Laura is brutally raped and beaten. At the hospital Will meets a man named Simon who tells Will he can have the guy taken care of but would ask for a favor later in time. At first Will says no but wanting revenge so badly he agrees. It doesn't take long before the man is killed and six months later while Laura is still attempting to recover from the emotional scars the attack left Will receives that call asking for the favor he owes Simon. At first it seems like an easy thing to do, just go to a specific place and mail a envelope but it quickly turns more sinister when he is asked to kill someone.

To go on about the plot here would only ruin the film for those waiting to see it but I have to say I was left scratching my head when it was over. Not because of the story but because I was left wondering why it never received a wide theatrical release because it's certainly better than a lot of stuff in theaters nowadays. The film is a pretty tight knit thriller with plenty of action and twists and turns around every corner and the excitement doesn't end till it's thought-provoking final scene.

As far as the cast goes everyone did a great job, Nicolas Cage seems to have only two gears when acting one is the hyper, over acting mode and the other is the more laid back, mellow mode. Luckily you get the latter here, Cage gives one of his better performances as Will. Playing his wife is January Jones who also gives a very good performance here and Guy Pearce is terrific as the man Will trusts at first but who turns out to be someone completely different later on. The production looks big budget and the action scenes are all very well done.
