To everyone in her home town, Tara Adams (Debby Ryan) is just an ordinary high school junior, except for one thing … she has a secret identity. Truth is, she’s actually Radio Rebel, the most popular DJ in Seattle! In person, Tara is a nondescript, socially under-the-radar, teenager; but get her behind the mic and she becomes Radio Rebel, the coolest personality on the air! This unique status is desperately in need at the moment as her school is in the midst of a clique-crisis. Radio Rebel gives voice to all kids, popular and unpopular alike, and she publicly questions the status quo, which does not sit well with the principal who is determined to uncover Radio Rebel’s true identity. On top of all that, mean girl Stacy (Merritt Patterson, “Kyle XY”) is intent on coming between Tara and cute boy Gavin (Adam DiMarco, “The Haunting Hour”). As push comes to shove, Tara must decide between keeping her alter ego a secret, or being true to herself: a choice with major repercussions.

I have to admit I'm not up on the Disney Channel or it's starlets so I can't really say much about the cast here and how popular they are but I can talk a little about the movie. The story focuses on Tara Adams a high school student who has a crush on one of the more popular boys in school. But Tara has one major problem, She is very shy and has a hard time communicating with others. When something happens that may require her to let everyone know who she is she must make a decision to let everyone know or stay the shy, backwards person she has always been and perhaps miss out on something special.

I have to say even though I'm not really part of the channel's target audience I thought the film was sweet, funny and at times heart felt. It's wholesome entertainment the entire family can enjoy together and it also delivers a few messages like just me yourself. The cast did a great job especially Debby Ryan who plays Tara aka Radio Rebel, She did a fantastic job switching between the shy girl that everyone knows and the more confident Radio Rebel.

So if you enjoy all the Disney stuff I am pretty sure you will like this film as well plus like a said before it makes for some great family time as well. The DVD comes with Special Features that include:
