Horror/Thriller Rated R. Two close brothers, Matt and John head to an exotic island for a week of fun and relaxation. Joined by Matt's girlfriend Nicki, Sara, and a friend Noah, the group intend on having a week of relaxation, fun and spending quality time together. However, after one of them is viciously attacked by a dog, the friends decide to leave the island early - only to find their sea plane set a drift by the dogs. As the day goes on, the friends find themselves fighting for their lives against a vicious pack of mutated dogs who don't intend on the group making it out alive off the island. Well with Wes Craven's name of the box-art I am sure many will be chewing at the bit(no pun intended) to pick this title up but it doesn't look like Wes had too much to do with the making of the movie at all but thats ok it is still a solid hour and a half of entertainment. Lets face it, how much can you really expect from a horror film such as this? Sure the plot is full of holes and there's a few spots in the film they could of cut out to give it a better pace but for what you are looking at and the budget which I am sure was small you get a very effective thriller. The action starts right in the beginning and then slows towards the middle opening way for a non-stop thriller ride till the very end. The cast were are excellent including Michelle Rodriguez,Oliver Hudson and Taryn Manning but the real stars here are the dog's they really are the film and provide all the chills and thrills. If you enjoy this type for horror/thriller then you can't go work picking this title up today. Th DVD also comes with a On The Set Documentary which is very interesting as well to watch after viewing the movie. Released by First Look Home Entertainment. *** 1/3 Out Of *****
