While Danny's father and mother independently search for love, Danny is on his own desperate quest to find a prom date. Danny's search becomes progressively more pathetic once he and his family learn that Bart, the school's biggest dweeb, not only secured a date for the prom, but got a hotel room as well.

This is terrific teen comedy, Steven Kaplan plays Danny, a young teen looking for a date for prom but before he knows it the big day is drawing closer and he still has no date. He seems to over look his best friend, Camille who is the obvious choice since they have been best friends forever. The film follows not only Andy as he goes through one mishap after the other but it also follows his two parents who are looking for the right connection as well ever since they separated. William H. Macy is great as the dad, he simply is hilarious and steals every scene he is in. Cheryl Hines is also very good as the mother, in fact the entire cast are a real delight. The film played the Festival circuit as well as having a limited theatrical run in April. It is not surprising that it did not go wide because the film is not really all that commercial, at least compared to other teen comedies that have been out. But that doesn't mean this isn't a good film, in fact this is a fantastic film that is funny and clever and its cast is perfect. Bart Got a Room is funny and heart-warming and it has an ending that is perfect and leaves you with a smile on your face as the credits begin to roll. A gem of a film that is a pleasure to watch and one you will be telling your friends and family about. The DVD comes with Special Features that include:
