Someone is dognapping the canine citizens of Chem City, Texas! Two pre-teen girls overcome danger and conspiracies as they set out to solve the crime and administer justice with the help of a magical bracelet. As the girls battle the Mob, a punk gang and a crooked cop they learn something about friendship, courage and the importance of hanging with the right crowd. The Bracelet is a Dove Foundation and Kids First approved film and for good reason. Clearly aimed for kids but I found it to have a sense of humor and enough light drama to please any adult as well, also lets not forget about the good message of picking your friend carefully here. The message is important and very clear and it gets the it across without sacrificing any of the fun. Filmed on a very low budget with a cast of unknowns is sure to raise a few eyebrows simply because is a family film that rivals anything in Hollywood in so many ways including story and even they special effects are top-notch. The cast were all terrific, the two lead girls were fantastic and played very well off one another and the punk gang had me laughing out loud. Another thing that is sure to amaze is just how good the production looks for the budget the film had. I hope to see a lot more work from first time Writer, Frank Eakin and first time Director, Casey Kelly. If this film displayed the true talent these two have then they have a bright future ahead of them. The Bracelet shows just how good an Independent film can and should be, it is a magical adventure filled and laughs and mystery. The DVD release is planned for July 14th so mark your calendars because you are going to want to own this great film. We need more movies the entire family can enjoy together and this is one of the best in years. Mystery, magic, laughs and lessons learned what more can anyone ask for, The Bracelet of Bordeaux is fabulous family fun that I highly recommend owning. Please be sure to bookmark The Bracelet of Bordeaux for updates as well as fun, learning tools for your children. Released by Monterey Media. ***** Out Of *****
