Two NASA chimps that are sent to a galaxy far, far away. One chimp has "The Right Stuff," and the other, a good natured goofball, has "The Wrong Stuff." The simian slacker becomes a reluctant hero and learns the true meaning of courage as he and his crewmates, the fearless Lt. Luna and their uptight commander, Titan, risk everything in an effort to save the peaceful inhabitants of a distant planet from the evil dictator Zartog.

This is a good family film about a performing chimp that ends up getting unwillingly sent up to space,It is a simple story about very clever chimps, full of human characteristics, being sent through a space warp to a planet full of aliens, and emerging triumphant. This is simply one of those animated movies made mostly for kids but I can say I enjoyed it myself as well. The film is lively, has great pace and the characters and animation are just plain fun to watch. I found some of the jokes to be a bit lame but remember that I said this was one clearly made for the kids so they work well for what the film aimed for. The voice actors were all great, Jeff Daniels is fantastic as Zartog, I would of never known it was his voice. In the end the film delivers on what it promises and nothing more, the animation could of been better but again it gets the job done. The movie is fast paced with great color that really makes for some nice eye-candy. Also along the way there is a message and a lesson to be learned, I can't say this was the best animation of the year but it is one I enjoyed and one that kids are sure to love and play over and over again making this a great buy for the whole family to watch together during the holiday season.
