King of The Lost World
Action/Adventure/Horror Rated R. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's action-adventure classic, four plane crash survivors encounter danger in a world that time forgot. Something has to be said about Asylum and how far they have come to date. Making movies on a budget that would not even cater the food on alot of big Hollywood productions but yet are more enjoyable than most. KOTLW is no exception, filmed on what may be their biggest budget to date, this is a fun adventure into a lost world full of surprises at every turn. You have giant scorpions, spiders and even a giant ape and if that isn't enough toss in a tribe that brain-washes it's victims and feeds them to dragons and you got an adventure film that takes you back to the old days of the classic "b" films. Like any other movie, this also has some flaws, but I enjoyed this so much I am not even going to mention them, instead let me tell you about the cast, all of whom were really great at bringing their characters to life. You have Asylum's own crop which features Rhett Giles who just seems to get better and better with each film, also Sarah Lieving and Christina Rosenberg show they too are going places. Also and if it wasn't enough you got two Hollywood veterans as well in Bruce Boxleitner and Steve Railsback both of whom only take this fun film a step higher. Asylum is really coming into their own and I cannot wait for further releases but until then I highly recommend you pick up this highly entertaining film that has a fun story, good characters and acting and a nice dose of some impressive cgi to top it off. Released by The Asylum Home Entertainment. **** Out Of *****
