Drama/Mystery/Thriller Rated R. Lee Geum-Ja, at the age of 19, goes to prison for the murder and abduction of a child on behalf of her accomplice Mr. Baek, only to find out that she is betrayed. While in prison, she carefully prepares for her revenge by winning the hearts of her fellow inmates with her kindness, thus earning herself the nickname 'kind Ms. Geum-Ja'. Upon her release from prison after 13 years, she finally sets out to seek revenge on Baek, with the help of her former prison mates. What more can be said about Director Chan-wook Park thats hasn't been said already, the man is a genius and is one of the best film-makers in the world today. Lady Vengence is the final film in the "revenge" trilogy and let me tellyou it does not disappoint. Im no goin to get into the story because this needs to be seen rather than read about as it's simply brillant. The film is poetic,tragic and at times humorous and it might just be the best film in the trilogy(if that's possible) but one things for sure this is a must own DVD for any fan of Asian cinema. The DVD inself comes loaded with extras including an interview with Park himself, a making of and much, much more. Do yourself a favor and buy the entire trilogy today as cinema doesnt get much better than this. Released by Tartan Video. ***** Out Of *****
