Molly Mahoney (Portman) is the awkward and insecure manager of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. But when Mr. Magorium, the 243 year-old eccentric who owns the store (Hoffman), bequeaths the store to her, a dark and ominous change begins to take over the once remarkable Emporium.

How can anyone not take a chance at a film that has Dustin Hoffman and the beautiful Natalie Portman as well as Jason Bateman in it, that's certainly a good start now isn't it. As for the film itself, yes it is a kids movie, that is on the surface cause underneath it is another story that we are can related to and learn even taken something away from. The cast as mentioned were all terrific and the production from sets to cinematography to the moving toys themselves could not have been better. This is a wonderful film for the entire family to enjoy together and for some to escape reality even if only for a short time. I had fun watching this film with my daughter and but your do not have to have kids to enjoy this film, it's a movie with a simple story but with a lot of heart and meaning as well.
