Anchor Bay is the leader in bringing back classic horror to DVD and Hellraiser is their latest. By now I am sure everyone that wants to has already seen this classic 1987 horror film from Clive Barker but this new 20th Anniversary Edition is reason enough to own the movie now. Some of the bonus features on the disc are from the older DVD release but there's still enough on this version to make any fan happy.

The film is about a couple (Andrew Robinson, Clare Higgins) who move into an old house and discovers a hideous creature (Oliver Smith) -- the man's half-brother (and his wife's former lover) -- hiding upstairs. Having lost his earthly body to three demons, the man's been brought back to life by a drop of blood on the floor. Soon, he's forcing his former mistress to bring him human sacrifices to complete his body.

As imperfect as some of the effects might be compared to today's standards Clive Barker's first full length feature film stays out as one of the most violent horror films ever.The DVD comes loaded with extras that include:
