Shutter

Horror/Thriller NR. Young photographer Thun and his girlfriend Jane discover mysterious shadows in their photographs after fleeing the sceen of an accident. As they investigate the phenomenon, they find other photographs contain similar supernatural images, that Thun's best friends are being haunted as well, and Jane discovers that her boyfriend has not told her everything. It soon becomes clear that you can not escape your past. After watching this fantastic film you will find it hard to believe that it's the first directing job by Banjong Pisanthanakun and Sopon Sukdapisit and you can only hope it will not be their last. Compared to film's such as Ringu and The EYE, Shutter is similar but it also delivers it's own brand of suspense that makes it one of the best if not the best Asian horror films in the last few years. Shutter delivers on all levels including cinematography, sound and the pace of the film always keep you on the edge of your seat. The cast including Ananda Everingham and Natthaweeranuch Thongmee are fantastic and really make their character's believable. This is a top 5 horror flick that will scare the hell out of you and it brings to the table it's own original ideas as well making it a must own for any fan. I must admit that The Eye was prehaps my fav Asian film in it's genre and still remains one of them but Shutter I think has now topped that list, yes it's that good. Features on the DVD include:

Available Subtitles: English, Spanish

Available Audio Tracks: Thai (Dolby Digital 5.1), Thai (DTS 5.1)
