Late-night radio host Dale Sweeney's usual line up of odd-ball, conspiracy-obsessed callers is interrupted by a panicked phone call in an indecipherable language. When FBI agents arrive investigating the call, Dale enlists his friends help to uncover what he hopes is the amazing identity of this first time caller.

I'll Believe You is a 2007 comedy, it is too bad this was never given a chance to be successful because I think it is one of the more original and funny comedies in the past few years. The film doesn't really have a big star actor, sure there are some veterans here like Fred Willard and Chris Elliott also Ed Helms(The Hangover) has a small but very funny role here. But the film is more an ensemble piece that works because every actor does an excellent job with their zany characters and because the film cleverly written and it doesn't have to rely on gimmicks or sex jokes to be funny and it never attempts to be anything more than it already is. I expected a comedy that had a few decent jokes at best but I found myself laughing all the way to the end of this one, the ending also has a nice surprise as well that just topped off an already highly entertaining film. I get a great feeling when I am surprised by little gems like this after seeing most of the teen comedies today and leave with not much to remember them by. I'll Believe You has so many over-the-top characters and such funny dialog that you can't help but remember it and tell your friends about it. David Alan Basche does a terrific job playing the lead character,Dale who runs a radio show. Also who doesn't love Patrick Warburton, this guy was born to do comedy and it seems his size works in his favor as well, he has a nice amount of screen time in the film and is very funny in it. This is a rare comedy that doesn't need nudity of offensive language to be funny, this is a film the entire family can enjoy together so if your looking for something different to watch to past the time this is a great film to check out and escape with. Highly entertaining and recommended.
